- MMMONICADec 10, 20252.0I’ve been a loyal AutoZone customer for years, but this experience was extremely frustrating and disorganized. On 12/8 at 6:45 PM, I dropped off my 5 month old battery because I left my taillights on at work and it was drained. I was told it would take about 2 hours to charge. I called at 8:30 PM, and an associate said it wasn’t done charging yet, but they would put it on a fast charger. I told them I would return the next day since it was time for closing. On 12/9, I returned at 6:00 PM with my toddler, only to be told the battery wasn’t there. An associate said they thought it might have been taken away with the recycled batteries. I was told to call the store manager and district manger or to come back Thursday because the manager was off this evening and tomorrow. I called the district manager explained my situation and just 10 minutes later, the battery was “found” . An associate let me know it was “on the side” even though the two employees had spent over 10 minutes looking for it. Then I was told the battery was bad, even though i was told it had been charging fine from the associate the day before. I was offered a 10% discount by the DM which doesn’t resolve the issue. Between the misplacement, conflicting information, and poor communication, this was a very frustrating experience, especially with a toddler . I will be taking my business elsewhere
