Amazing services by Boyd. It was a really nice and smooth experience. All thanks to Saurabh, great customer service as usual. They got my car repaired, and even requested ICBC for OEM parts. They always go one step beyond for their customers. Highly recommend this place if anyone wants to get their car repaired

I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with Boyd Auto Body & Glass in Nanaimo has been so frustrating and disappointing that I feel obligated to warn others.
What started as a straightforward repair with an initial quote of around $4,000 somehow ballooned into a $9,000 charge to my insurance company. At no point was this escalation clearly communicated or justified in a way that made sense. Instead, I was repeatedly given vague explanations and shifting stories about what was supposedly covered and why costs kept climbing.
Even more concerning, I was told certain parts and labor would be covered, only to later find out that wasn’t the case. It felt like I was being misled just to get the work approved. On top of that, parts of my vehicle were apparently damaged during the repair process itself—yet those same parts were then billed to my insurance as if they were part of the original damage. That’s not just careless, it’s unacceptable and predatory business practice.
As for timing—don’t expect them to stick to it. Every single promised completion date came and went with no accountability. Each delay was met with excuses rather than solutions, leaving me constantly chasing updates and rearranging my schedule.
Overall, this experience was a mess from start to finish: poor communication, questionable at best billing practices, missed deadlines, and zero ownership of mistakes. I would strongly recommend thinking twice before trusting them with your vehicle
