Iāve rented from Enterprise for over 5 years and have never had an issue, until now. I was wrongly held responsible for damage I did not cause. Damage I specifically pointed out to the employee before taking the car. I was told it was minor (under 3 inches) and considered normal wear and tear, so it didnāt need to be documented. I relied on that in good faith. When I returned the vehicle, I was told that same agent ādidnāt remember,ā so the return agent reported nearby damage that was missed even though he admitted it was barely noticeable and could only be seen or felt when opening the rear door at a certain angle. I was told Iād be contacted by Enterpriseās damage recovery team to provide my side, but I never received a single call or voicemail. I only found out about the claim when I received a bill in the mail. I will be requested the names of the employees who assisted me, since none were listed on my billing summary, For a company that expects customers to be accountable, the lack of accountability from staff is deeply disappointing. I didnāt rent a car for convenience or vacation. I rented because my personal vehicle was in the shop. I chose Enterprise thinking I could trust their service during a stressful time, but this experience only added to the stress and frustration. This entire process has been incredibly misleading, and unfair. If you do rent here, I strongly recommend taking full photos and getting everything in writing! Never rely on what an employee tells you verbally. You may end up paying for damage you didnāt cause.
