I waited in one of two bays for quite a while, only to see a customer who arrived much later (30 minutes after I arrived) be spoken to and serviced first in the other bay. When the rep did speak to me, he mentioned it will be an additional 30 minute wait, which I was fine with waiting since I’ve already been there for some time. There did not seem to be anyone directing traffic or managing flow, which made the wait confusing and frustrating. I understand people have off days and I do not expect perfection, but there were several moments that felt careless and poorly communicated. The old cabin air filter was placed directly on my passenger seat while the glove box was emptied, and when I asked about the engine air filter, I was not shown the old one and was simply told it had been changed. There also seemed to be a lack of communication between staff. Early on I was asked if my wipers and brakes had already been checked, and at the end I was asked if the maintenance light had been reset even though I was given the reminder sticker. Overall I was not happy with my experience at this Valvoline location today.

Adrian who was doing the oil change communicated well and was also very professional; he offered to also reset my oil change reminder in the vehicle. Lastly, Jon the service manager was top notch. You can tell that hr runs a tight ship and they work together like a well oiled machine. Overall these gents made my experience here a pleasant one. I love that the Valvoline team works together as a cohesive unit and talk to each other during the services provided. Excellent job to the team Valvoline team here in Buena Park!
