  I had a genuinely outstanding experience renting from Alamo in Anaheim near Disneyland. From the moment I arrived, Jesse made the process simple and stress-free. He was professional, friendly, and efficient — exactly what you want when traveling. The vehicle was clean, well-maintained, and ready when promised. The paperwork was handled quickly, and there was no pressure or confusion during pickup or return. Everything felt organized and customer-focused. It’s clear this location is well managed. Service like this builds trust, and I would absolutely rent here again on future trips. Highly recommend this Alamo location — and ask for Jesse if you can.

  Ethan and Zach were both great. Zach provided clear instructions for drop off - was exactly as expected and very easy. Ethan provided excellent follow-up to ensure smoothness in overall process.

  Had a reservation for open at 9am but were not helped until 9:45am. At this point we were told the car we had reserved was gettin tires and was on its way and would be delivered in 10-15 minutes. By 10:10 there was no car and we talked to manager Ethan who attempted to help us but also told us the car was on its way but didn’t know when it would arrive. He then offered us an alternative vehicle to choose from although mentioned that the “elite full size sedan” we reserved a week prior was not available at the time and we would have to choose something else. We ended up leaving in a Nissan Sentra which was dirty and at this point was almost 11am. Poor planning on the business and will never book with Alamo again .

  Employee working desk explained in detail to customer in front of me that some humans are born with "superior brains" and most other humans are born with "smaller brains" and the way he explained how this makes select people better than others sounds a lot like eugenics. The customer seemed uncomfortable with the monologue. Troubles me that manager and another employee were present and allowed this.

  We booked a rental car online with Alamo. During the booking process, the website suddenly crashed. No confirmation email, no booking number – but our credit card was charged immediately. We contacted Alamo support right away. Their answer: “There is no booking in our system.” They said they would “check internally” – and that was it. No follow-up, no solution, no further replies despite multiple calls and emails. We then contacted the rental station directly. Their response was unbelievable: “It’s impossible that the credit card was charged. Payment only happens at pickup.” Again: according to them, no booking existed. Completely contradictory statements and zero ownership of the issue. After getting nowhere with Alamo, we opened a case with American Express. 14 days later, Amex refunded the amount and informed us that they had contacted Alamo for clarification – Alamo never responded to them either. That says everything. What makes this even worse: My wife is a flight attendant and was staying at a hotel nearby during a layover in LA. Her best friend had the exact same issue: website crashes, no confirmation email, she retries several times. At pickup, she is suddenly told she has five bookings and must pay for all five. No help from Alamo – again, Amex had to step in. Another colleague experienced the same thing. If Alamo already fails so badly at something as basic as an online booking, I don’t even want to imagine how they handle accidents, damages, or real problems. This is hands down the most unprofessional rental experience I’ve ever encountered. Never booking here again. I’d rather pay a bit more and walk one block to Sixt, where everything worked perfectly. Avoid Alamo if you value your time, money, and nerves.
