I returned the vehicle on 12/12/2025 at 3:00 PM at the instructed location in Alhambra, CA, in perfect condition. No damage was reported or documented at the time of return. Three days later, they were suddenly informed of a windshield damage charge. When I visited the branch the same day, the manager was told the vehicle had already been repaired — without any prior notification to me and without giving me any opportunity to inspect the alleged damage. The only photo provided as “evidence” did not clearly identify the car or license plate, so it cannot be considered reliable proof. What made the experience worse was the runaround between departments. The branch could not provide proof and directed me to customer support. Customer support escalated it, then told me only the Damage Recovery Unit could handle it and asked me to call another number. Each team passed responsibility instead of resolving the issue directly. The process feels fragmented and not customer-focused. Charging a customer days after return, repairing the vehicle before notifying them, and failing to provide verifiable documentation is not transparent or fair. This has seriously reduced my trust in their claims process. I strongly recommend that future renters take detailed photos and videos at vehicle return and insist on written inspection confirmation before leaving.
