- HMHello it’s meMar 15, 20261.0Crime is rampant, people float over from Oakland and break into boats and live, the “harbor master” is a joke. She has no idea what a harbor is. Your car will be stolen or vandalized if you try to leave the harbor. Ice machine broken all the time. Pop machine abandoned. It looks super nice and very pleasant walking area. But don’t ever lease a spot from this place. Just ask anyone who has stayed there or is unfortunate enough to be at this harbor. Any other harbor in the Bay Area is far better than this place.
- LGLindsey GurlMar 2, 20261.0This harbor sucks, many people die, because they won’t allow a rope, stairs etc… if you fall in for any reason you will die as many have done. No fire extinguishers ( some concealed in plexiglass, so nobody can access them) and your car WILL be broken into while you are sailing, you will be lucky if it is not stolen, but it will be extensively damaged. This place sucks, dam near empty

Safe Harbor Marina Village in Alameda is that place. It was recently acquired by the Safe Harbor group. They always do a great job with improving the Marinas that they own and manage. I am in the camp that loves the way they keep their Marinas and the amenities that they provide. My wife and I currently are members of Safe Harbor and keep our boat in the Ventura Isle Marina in Ventura California. Fact is, I was depressed at continuing to visit Bay Area Marinas that were unsafe, were located in areas without restaurants or grocery stores, or had other troublesome issues. When I visited, I talked with Jaria who answered all of my questions and allowed me to look at a slip or two.
