I needed snow socks for my car and called ahead to check availability. The guy who answered the phone said he had them in stock. When I arrived with my family waiting outside in the car, I asked the guy behind the counter about the snow socks. Turns out he thought ahead and whipped the exact match out from under his desk, as he had reserved them for me without me asking. He also knew they were certified for use on CA and NV roads. I was out of there in under a minute, a hero to my wife. ; )

I needed windshield wiper blades. Should be easy enough. As I parked and was walking in, there was a flatbed tow truck in the parking lot. The large tow truck was having a difficult time maneuvering the parking lot, so I stepped back to give it space. There was a man in a hoodie standing next to one of the cars and I said “sorry you dealing with this. I’ve been there.” Then he said “I’m actually having illegally parked cars towed.” I continued to give space to the tow truck as it was navigating tight spot. I then proceeded inside to get my windshield wiper blades. The woman helping me was very nice and even walked out with me to my car to ensure I was getting the right model and size for my car. Then the man from outside came in and said “if you keep your car here, I’m going to have it towed, too. I know you were trying to park here illegally.” I told him “No, actually I came to get windshield wiper blades. That’s why I’ve spent 15 minutes in here trying to buy the correct one. I’m a customer” He said “I know you are trying to park in our parking lot just to leave.” Yeah, guy. That’s why I just spent $50 in your store…for the parking. It was super unhinged and weird. His behavior has encouraged me to shop exclusively at O’Reilly. For the record. I have never seen more than 2-4 cars in the parking lot- making his outburst all the more puzzling. Possibly because he has chased all their customers away with his ridiculous antics? Anyway, I have never had an unhinged manager or sales lead yelled at me at O’Reilly.
