Thank you Fountian Tire for taking care of us! Popped by from out of town to get our tires retorqued and they found issues with our lug nuts. They inspected our tires and fitted us with some new lugs so we could be on our way. Thank you for taking the time to make sure we were safe and good to go!

Brought a set of new wheels and tires in for mount and balance. Encountered a couple of issues during the process. Came back to the shop and Lori was very helpful in getting me taken care of promptly and without hassle. Mistakes happen but it’s how they are dealt with that can make all the difference in the experience. I will be coming back because of the great service they provided.

Yesterday (05/07/26), I called to arrange the purchase of four tires, and someone booked me an appointment for the next day at 2:30 PM. I confirmed that the schedule worked for me, since my daughter initially thought the tire change would happen that same day, but I clarified that the appointment was actually for the following day. Later, I called back to let them know that the vehicle would not be available for the appointment. Instead, I asked if I could simply drop off the loose rims and tires so they could complete the tire change, and they told me that would be fine. The next day (05/08/26), I dropped off the rims and tires around 12:00 PM—two and a half hours before my scheduled 2:30 PM appointment. By 4:00 PM, I had not received any call or message, so I followed up to ask about the status. To my surprise, I was told that the tires would not be ready for another hour and a half. Honestly, this was very frustrating. I dropped everything off well in advance of my scheduled appointment, yet the work still had not even been completed. Because of the delay, I asked if I could simply bring in the vehicle and have the tires installed once they were ready. However, they refused, saying they had expected me to bring the vehicle at 2:30 PM—even though I had already explained to the staff member at drop-off that I was keeping my appointment but dropping off loose tires instead. What disappointed me most was the complete lack of customer recovery or effort to resolve the situation. No accommodation, no attempt to make things right—nothing. Very poor communication and customer service. Unfortunately, I will not be doing business at this location again. Update: When I tried to cancel the purchase they said the tire is done and they put it into rush ang guess what? now one of the rim is damage! (look how new the damage is its, shinier than my teeth!!😡😡 oh! and the name? Its Jay ask the owner I even talked to him!)

So nice try saying I must have the wrong place or location. It was the Fountain Tire in Saint Albert that I dealt with. I believe there is only one. You can find my history there under the name Jerry Shavak I believe; as you had my name spelled wrong. I already took my tires to Kal Tire yesterday, as I called one of your locations and was told I was out of luck to get that done without charge as it was over a year. I didn’t trust coming back to your location. All four tires were out of balance- 3 of them off by 1/2 oz and the 4th off by 1 to 1.5 oz. And you still do not understand why you were trying to charge me over $800 for a wheel bearing. Almost $200 dollars to diagnose after I had concerns of a road noise I didn’t notice before you installed my tires. I have all the receipts which I can post to prove everything I am saying. I sent them all to you months ago by registered mail and no one replied back to me.

So over a year ago- Fountain tire quoted a price to change a wheel bearing. The quote was for double the price of where I ended up getting it done. Plus they charged me almost $200 to quote me on that and wouldn’t give my car back till I paid it. I had bought tires there which were never balanced very well from the start- and today I found out that all four tires were out of balance. I called them and I was told a tire should only need balancing once. What are the odds that four of their balancing weights fell off? They wouldn’t balance it without charging because it was over a year. I tried to contact the manager with a registered letter, but no reply was given. I also recently left a message with their CEO, but no reply so far. Go to Kal tire. They are fair and offer lifetime balancing. I feel ripped off by these guys for sure.

Frequently Asked Questions About Fountain Tire

When should I replace my tires?

Tires wear out over time, and how long they last depends on things like road conditions, driving habits, inflation, and temperature. The best way to know when to replace them is to check them regularly. Common ways to measure tread include the following. - Tread wear bars: When these are flush with the tread, it’s time to replace. - Coin test: If too much of the coin shows, your tread is low. - Tread depth gauge: The most accurate way to measure. If your tread is low or you see cracks, bulges, or notice vibration, come see us.

What are some signs my vehicle is out of alignment?

It doesn’t take much to throw your alignment off—potholes, curbs, or just everyday driving. Poor alignment can lead to faster tire wear and poor handling. Common signs include: - Vehicle pulls to one side - Crooked steering wheel - Uneven tire wear - Loose or unstable steering - Vibration in the steering wheel If something feels off, we’re happy to take a look.
