Been a member for well over a decade and am finally done. They don’t help when needed, long wait time to unlock for a service I pay for. Not to mention the rude woman I dealt with in person. Bad service

This review is specifically to to the St. Albert location, which I have been using since I started driving 23 years ago. I finally decided to switch my vehicle insurance to a more affordable insurance company. I called to cancel my insurance, though I still had planned to use AMA for my registration and I have a membership with them for when I need roadside assistance. I stayed on hold the first day for 45 minutes before I had to get back to my life. I had called on a weekday at about 10:00. The second time I called was another weekday at 10:15. I was on hold for.... wait for it..... 2 hrs and 20 minutes. 😳
At no time did anyone ever pickup to let me know I would be helped soon until I finally spoke to the man (who was helpful and efficient) who helped me cancel my insurance. The on hold automated voice continued to come on and suggested going onto the website to make a phone appointment. So I attempt to do that while still on hold. I obviously have some to kill while I wait. 😒 It requires me to make an account..... for a company I wish to no longer do business with. Anyways, I sign up and make a password and all that. And then it claims it can not process my registration. So now I can't even make an account to make an appointment to talk to an actual human being to cancel my insurance. Laughable.
Are they short staffed? Surely there can't be that many people doing in person insurance things that are taking up all of the insurance specific staff on a Thursday morning.
