- JMJustice MonroeMay 8, 20261.0Only went in there once and will not be back. It really reminded me I'm only paying for the possibility of needing to tow my car. The lady was practically yelling while dealing with personal information saying out whole situation at top volume along with no being very willing to work with us. It felt like she just didn't want to help us in particular at all and sent us away despite having all the information needed when we checked online. Went right over to a different registry and was helped no issues. Also was way busier here and more chaotic than a normal registry.

I had to hung up and tell her to have a good day. Does not really put me at ease regarding their customer service. Its normal for an individual who is nervous about taking their exam to ask questions the least you can do is be kind and not sound condescending

To be then told it was not ama fault and whoever could help me was not working that day and to call back tomorrow. Absolutely atrocious customer service. Currently in the process of switching providers.

- GBGraham BergeyApr 21, 20261.0Waited an hour and a half on hold to try to get insurance and the lady I talked to was absolutely clueless. Didn't know what a 14 and 7 shift was (thought I'd be driving to work every day) and tried to tell me that I was going to be driving 50,000+kms a year. Then she asked if I had any tools in my car, and after I told her what tools I had, she told me I was going to have to get a callback from the "commercial insurance" department, and then hung up. So far, no callback. I just want to drive to work, how is this complicated?

Will you have another AMA shredding event soon?

Can I renew my passport here, or can I only get a picture for it?
We offer passport photo services at all of our centres across Alberta. To learn more about this, visit ama.ab.ca/personal/passport-photo. On that page on our website, you'll also find resources on how to apply for your Canadian Passport. You can get those application forms from your nearby postal outlet or passport office. My driver's licence is due soon. Do I have to book and appointment to renew?
You do not have to book an appointment to renew your driver's licence. Just stop by one of our centres and someone from our registries team will assist you with the renewal.
Do you offer an international driver's licence here?
We sure do. The test costs $17.60, plus the cost of getting your Driver's License after you pass. Visit our website and search for 'Drivers Licence Testing' to find all the information, including what to bring with you. Good luck!
Is there a way to get a in-transit sticker for a vehicle to move?

Can I use the registry services if I am not a member?
At AMA, our registry services are member exclusive. However, you can visit our registry with someone who has an active AMA membership to use our services. Being a member does offer plenty of value.
