I have dealt with the poor customer service quality before but when I came in earlier in the month because I was in town and wanted to inquire about changing payment methods. I was directed to the insurance area, I waited 15 minutes for my turn only to be treated like a moron for not having the resources I came in to ask about and they made me feel like I was wasting their time. For that reason I will be canceling my services with AMA and moving to a company that treats its customers with respect and I encourage others to make the same change.

I tried emailing the insurance advisor I was supposed to meet with and I received an automatic response. I am now waiting to get through on their phone line. 30 minutes and counting... I am consistently disappointed with the service I receive from AMA considering I pay for an annual membership.

Carmen was so professional, efficient, and nice when helping me with the auto registration process. Amazing staff and service!

Followed up the next day with same information and 3 days later nothing. I hate to think what it would be if I had an actual claim. Not interested at all and would certainly not recommend based on my experience on just trying to get a quote

Will you have another AMA shredding event soon?
This year's shredding events have concluded, but Shredding dates for 2024 will be listed on our website as of March 6. For more information, visit ama.ab.ca/events/shredding.
Can I renew my passport here, or can I only get a picture for it?
We offer passport photo services at all of our centres across Alberta. To learn more about this, visit ama.ab.ca/personal/passport-photo. On that page on our website, you'll also find resources on how to apply for your Canadian Passport. You can get those application forms from your nearby postal outlet or passport office. My driver's licence is due soon. Do I have to book and appointment to renew?
You do not have to book an appointment to renew your driver's licence. Just stop by one of our centres and someone from our registries team will assist you with the renewal.
Do you offer an international driver's licence here?
We sure do. The test costs $17.60, plus the cost of getting your Driver's License after you pass. Visit our website and search for 'Drivers Licence Testing' to find all the information, including what to bring with you. Good luck!
Is there a way to get a in-transit sticker for a vehicle to move?

Can I use the registry services if I am not a member?
At AMA, our registry services are member exclusive. However, you can visit our registry with someone who has an active AMA membership to use our services. Being a member does offer plenty of value.
