I had two disappointing experiences at Fountain Tire that raise serious concerns about their attention to detail and integrity. On my first visit, the technician used an impact gun on my vehicle’s security key lug nuts. The technician should have felt the socket clearly not seating flush or properly, yet this went unnoticed. When I got home and retorqued the tires myself, I discovered that the metal on multiple key lug nuts had been sheared off. I immediately called the shop, and they asked me to drive back so they could inspect and replace them with inexpensive generic brand alternatives. The technician who performed the work never acknowledged the error or took any responsibility. On my second visit (April 10, 2026), I specifically requested and was assured they could order and install Kumho Solus TA51 (premium three-season tires) on my alloy rims. Over the phone he said they were going to cost $110 per tire which was close to the same price other online retailers in Canada were offering. The tires were mounted and balanced as requested. However, upon arriving home and inspecting the tires from out of the tire bags, I found they had installed Kumho H32 (all-weather four-season tires) that sell for $82 per tire. These have a completely different tread pattern and are known to wear faster than the premium model I ordered and paid for. Both visits involved the same employee. His handling of these matters left me feeling that the service was neither honest nor diligent. Due to these repeated issues — I will not be returning to this location and strongly recommend others exercise caution.

The guys are great here. I came 5 minutes to close with a tire repair, and they got to working on it asap. Although my tire wasn’t fixable, they made sure my spare was all torqued up and filled at the proper psi.

Brad and his crew are always amazing to work with. They are our preferred place to go for any work that our company, farm, and personal vehicles need.

Frequently Asked Questions About Fountain Tire

When should I replace my tires?

Tires wear out over time, and how long they last depends on things like road conditions, driving habits, inflation, and temperature. The best way to know when to replace them is to check them regularly. Common ways to measure tread include the following. - Tread wear bars: When these are flush with the tread, it’s time to replace. - Coin test: If too much of the coin shows, your tread is low. - Tread depth gauge: The most accurate way to measure. If your tread is low or you see cracks, bulges, or notice vibration, come see us.

What are some signs my vehicle is out of alignment?

It doesn’t take much to throw your alignment off—potholes, curbs, or just everyday driving. Poor alignment can lead to faster tire wear and poor handling. Common signs include: - Vehicle pulls to one side - Crooked steering wheel - Uneven tire wear - Loose or unstable steering - Vibration in the steering wheel If something feels off, we’re happy to take a look.
