Service is fair and not as good as in the past. Basically AMA IS slipping in many ways.

Whether its getting car insurance or registering a vehicle, this place is always a pain to deal with. They always require more documents than other insurance companies. I got turned away multiple times and finally went to a registries office across the street that got it all done for me within 5 minutes. They don't want your business. I will definitely cancel my membership.

Poor customer service. If I could give you triple zero, that is what I would give. We were made to stand in line for more than an hour, while the staff seemed to choose which customers they wanted to assist. When it was finally our turn, we were told that there was no senior staff available to assist us and that they could not help us with what we needed. This was extremely frustrating and disappointing. It makes me feel like the membership fee is a waste of money if we cannot get the assistance we need.

Completely disappointed in the service my aunt and dad have received requesting marriage records. Their first visit was April 17 to request my grandparents marriage record with the request form I filled out. They were helped by someone who was inexperienced and didn’t know what they were doing but they paid, were contacted for further information which they provided. A few weeks later they received marriage certificates but it wasn’t for who they requested which I believe this may constitute an unauthorized disclosure of personal information contrary to Alberta’s privacy legislation as we did not request the personal information that was sent (this can be confirmed as no form was filled out for this information in their records). They go back into AMa to let them know we received the wrong records and now they are told they need the death records of both my grandparents. We finally get the death records in and go back in and they were forced to not only pay again but to fill out the request form again. They should not have been charged as they already paid and didn’t receive the goods paid for therefore performance has not been achieved and they should not be able to recognize revenue from the first time they paid.
It is clear after reading the many negative reviews over the past several months that there is a management issue here and customer service is not something valued by this AMA location.
If you can avoid AMA I highly recommend McKillop instead.

Service has gone down hill. Cannot call in and talk to a person, wait times are extensive. Cannot email in, only to get an auto reply saying you have to come in. Online appointments are weeks ahead. If you are understaffed and so busy, hire people. I am ready to take money elsewhere. In a digital world, this should not be so archaic.
