Shout out to Eric for his excellent customer service on booking. Called yesterday to inquire about replacing my trailer tires. Preferred tires were not only in stock, but they were able to get me today to get it done. Welcoming, friendly, efficient service, at a great price. Could not be more impressed. Thank you.

After trying a dozen shops for a last minute tire change, where no one had the tires I needed on hand, Fountain Tire/Fort Sask came through for us. Suffered a flat and didn’t want to chance driving on the skinny spare for 2 1/2 hours. They held a bay for me and had me back on the road with four new tires in about an hour and fifteen. The pretty lady with beautiful green eyes was very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. They had just helped another customer that was in a bind while I was there as well. Seems like a great place to deal with… give them a shot the next time you need tires or repairs.

I recently got new tires at this Fountain Tire and that went well. The appointment was kept and the job was done. That's the only reason for the 2 Stars. At the time of the appointment there was a rumble and vibration coming from underneath in the driveshaft area. I asked the front staff if they could have a look and they said they would pass that along to the technician. They never asked the technician but were then kind enough to book me 3 days later for the rumble/vibration. I took it in for that and they called and said it was the drive shaft and that it is one piece and has to be ordered as one unit. They mentioned the potential for a used cheaper one and I said go ahead. They then called and said the used one was no good and had to order a new and again I said go ahead. It was 3 days later and the new one was installed. They called me to pick it up at $100 more than quoted with no explanation. When I drove it home it was immediately whining and vibrating worse than before. Clearly no one tested it. The service manager agreed it was defective and ordered a new one "rush". Fast forward almost a week and still nothing and then getting the run around from the service manager. They fully refunded my money but it has now wasted 2 weeks of my time. I would not trust anything the service manager says and would only go there for tires... never any mechanical work.
Tires wear out over time, and how long they last depends on things like road conditions, driving habits, inflation, and temperature. The best way to know when to replace them is to check them regularly.
Common ways to measure tread include the following.
- Tread wear bars: When these are flush with the tread, it’s time to replace.
- Coin test: If too much of the coin shows, your tread is low.
- Tread depth gauge: The most accurate way to measure.
If your tread is low or you see cracks, bulges, or notice vibration, come see us.
What are some signs my vehicle is out of alignment?
It doesn’t take much to throw your alignment off—potholes, curbs, or just everyday driving. Poor alignment can lead to faster tire wear and poor handling.
Common signs include:
- Vehicle pulls to one side
- Crooked steering wheel
- Uneven tire wear
- Loose or unstable steering
- Vibration in the steering wheel
If something feels off, we’re happy to take a look.
What’s included in the seasonal car care package?
Our seasonal car care package gets your vehicle ready for the weather ahead. It includes:
- Fresh engine oil and filter
- Chassis lubrication (as needed)
- Charging and starting system check
- Brake inspection
- Fluid top-ups
- Belt and hose inspection
- Battery test
- Tire and pressure check
- Heating/cooling system check
- Lights, wipers, and overall safety check
It’s a great way to make sure your vehicle is ready for the season.
What do the numbers on my tires mean?
The numbers on your tire’s sidewall tell you the size, load rating, and speed rating.
Example: 225/55R17 97H
- 225 – Tire width (mm)
- 55 – Height as a % of width
- R – Radial construction
- 17 – Wheel diameter (inches)
- 97 – Load rating (how much weight it can carry)
- H – Speed rating (maximum safe speed)
These numbers help us match you with the right tire.
When should I put my winter tires on?
A good rule of thumb: when you can see your breath — about 7°C and below. At that temperature, all-season tires start to harden, while winter tires stay flexible and grippy. Booking early helps you beat the rush.
