The staff made it clear what was required and we’re patient with me in transferring it and we’re very clear and helpful. Yes, the lines can be long but it’s not this Office’s fault. It’s the Alberta government bureaucracy that causes the issue. Thank you to AMA for clarity and professionalism in a complex world.

It also ended up costing us extra money due to misinformation. We felt completely messed around and the customer service was very poor.

Can AMA help me with changing my Alberta Health Care Card?

Will you have another AMA shredding event soon?
This year's shredding events have concluded, but Shredding dates for 2024 will be listed on our website as of March 6. For more information, visit ama.ab.ca/events/shredding.
Can I renew my passport here, or can I only get a picture for it?
We offer passport photo services at all of our centres across Alberta. To learn more about this, visit ama.ab.ca/personal/passport-photo. On that page on our website, you'll also find resources on how to apply for your Canadian Passport. You can get those application forms from your nearby postal outlet or passport office. My driver's licence is due soon. Do I have to book and appointment to renew?
You do not have to book an appointment to renew your driver's licence. Just stop by one of our centres and someone from our registries team will assist you with the renewal.
Do you offer an international driver's licence here?
We sure do. The test costs $17.60, plus the cost of getting your Driver's License after you pass. Visit our website and search for 'Drivers Licence Testing' to find all the information, including what to bring with you. Good luck!
Is there a way to get a in-transit sticker for a vehicle to move?

Can I use the registry services if I am not a member?
At AMA, our registry services are member exclusive. However, you can visit our registry with someone who has an active AMA membership to use our services. Being a member does offer plenty of value.
