- JAJool AnikJun 23, 20261.0Not the best experience, I was there few weeks ago and it was ok to take insurance quote for vehicle by just walk in...now rools changed - only by appointment. It's ok, I tried to book one through the customer service, I explained that I need insurance qoute to my new car, and that if its ok we are willing to move my husband's insurance to AMA as well, basicly I let them know that we are new to AMA... Lady on reception even found one slot for me for next day. I was so happy but suddenly she asked am I a member? (Like really? I just explained that I am not.) So when I said "No" I was told that in this case closest appointment will be in the middle of next week! Is it kind of strategy to push people to buy a membership? - I asked - because just 1 min ago you told me that there is time tomorrow?! No - she said - people anyway will come. Felt my self really humiliated. Very negative feeling, like if you are member they care if not they don't.

Will you have another AMA shredding event soon?

Can I renew my passport here, or can I only get a picture for it?
We offer passport photo services at all of our centres across Alberta. To learn more about this, visit ama.ab.ca/personal/passport-photo. On that page on our website, you'll also find resources on how to apply for your Canadian Passport. You can get those application forms from your nearby postal outlet or passport office. My driver's licence is due soon. Do I have to book and appointment to renew?
You do not have to book an appointment to renew your driver's licence. Just stop by one of our centres and someone from our registries team will assist you with the renewal.
Do you offer an international driver's licence here?
We sure do. The test costs $17.60, plus the cost of getting your Driver's License after you pass. Visit our website and search for 'Drivers Licence Testing' to find all the information, including what to bring with you. Good luck!
Is there a way to get a in-transit sticker for a vehicle to move?

Can I use the registry services if I am not a member?
At AMA, our registry services are member exclusive. However, you can visit our registry with someone who has an active AMA membership to use our services. Being a member does offer plenty of value.
