Shaun and the crew here are amazing! My family has been going to this fountain tire for 20 years now and have never had a single bad experience. Shaun the owner specifically went wayyy above and beyond for me when I had some expensive repairs come up. He gave me plenty of options to make sure everything I got was in my price range and he was super honest about everything. He never once tried to upsell me on anything and made sure everything was done in the timeline for when I needed my car. They boys drove me to and from work when my car was in the shop. Shaun really was adamant about my safety and was brutally honest about what was necessary to ensure I was safe on my upcoming road trip. I’ll never use another mechanic. If you want a place that is genuinely fair and wont try to rip you off, go here.

I arrived at fountain tire in Drumheller on Dec 27th at 12:40pm to get a tire repair on my refrigerated trailer and the guy behind the desk refused to do the repair as he was closing at 1:00pm. This is a service business. I work for a large carrier and this is totally reprehensible.

I wanted to give a big shout out to Sean. He was exceptionally professional & courteous plus reasonable in pricing. They were quick on getting my starter installed. I also want to say It was nice to be able to get to & from work as they looked after that for me. Also Ryan addressed all my concerns & was very professional & courteous in his mannerism. I definitely recommend them in the valley for auto repair needs. Cheers Darren 😄
Tires wear out over time, and how long they last depends on things like road conditions, driving habits, inflation, and temperature. The best way to know when to replace them is to check them regularly.
Common ways to measure tread include the following.
- Tread wear bars: When these are flush with the tread, it’s time to replace.
- Coin test: If too much of the coin shows, your tread is low.
- Tread depth gauge: The most accurate way to measure.
If your tread is low or you see cracks, bulges, or notice vibration, come see us.
What are some signs my vehicle is out of alignment?
It doesn’t take much to throw your alignment off—potholes, curbs, or just everyday driving. Poor alignment can lead to faster tire wear and poor handling.
Common signs include:
- Vehicle pulls to one side
- Crooked steering wheel
- Uneven tire wear
- Loose or unstable steering
- Vibration in the steering wheel
If something feels off, we’re happy to take a look.
What’s included in the seasonal car care package?
Our seasonal car care package gets your vehicle ready for the weather ahead. It includes:
- Fresh engine oil and filter
- Chassis lubrication (as needed)
- Charging and starting system check
- Brake inspection
- Fluid top-ups
- Belt and hose inspection
- Battery test
- Tire and pressure check
- Heating/cooling system check
- Lights, wipers, and overall safety check
It’s a great way to make sure your vehicle is ready for the season.
What do the numbers on my tires mean?
The numbers on your tire’s sidewall tell you the size, load rating, and speed rating.
Example: 225/55R17 97H
- 225 – Tire width (mm)
- 55 – Height as a % of width
- R – Radial construction
- 17 – Wheel diameter (inches)
- 97 – Load rating (how much weight it can carry)
- H – Speed rating (maximum safe speed)
These numbers help us match you with the right tire.
When should I put my winter tires on?
A good rule of thumb: when you can see your breath — about 7°C and below. At that temperature, all-season tires start to harden, while winter tires stay flexible and grippy. Booking early helps you beat the rush.
