- FDFREDJ DHIFALLAHMay 5, 20261.0I had a very disappointing experience at AMA Insurance in Camrose. I went there for auto and home insurance quotes, and unfortunately the service from Peta and the lady beside her made me feel very unwelcome both times I visited. The first time, I arrived around 5:00 PM knowing the office closes at 5:30 PM. Even though there was still time before closing, I clearly felt like my presence was an inconvenience because they seemed more focused on preparing to leave than helping a customer. The atmosphere was not welcoming at all. I later received a quote that was far more expensive than what other insurance companies offered me. I decided to give AMA another chance and returned with all my documents, but the second experience was no better. Again, I felt unwelcome, and after submitting everything, the quote became even worse. Instead of helping customers and making the process smooth, it honestly felt like they were making things difficult so people would not come back. As a customer, I expected professionalism, friendliness, and genuine assistance, but sadly that was not my experience here.

Can I renew my passport here, or can I only get a picture for it?
We offer passport photo services at all of our centres across Alberta. To learn more about this, visit ama.ab.ca/personal/passport-photo. On that page on our website, you'll also find resources on how to apply for your Canadian Passport. You can get those application forms from your nearby postal outlet or passport office. My driver's licence is due soon. Do I have to book and appointment to renew?
You do not have to book an appointment to renew your driver's licence. Just stop by one of our centres and someone from our registries team will assist you with the renewal.
Do you offer an international driver's licence here?
We sure do. The test costs $17.60, plus the cost of getting your Driver's License after you pass. Visit our website and search for 'Drivers Licence Testing' to find all the information, including what to bring with you. Good luck!
Is there a way to get a in-transit sticker for a vehicle to move?

Can I use the registry services if I am not a member?
At AMA, our registry services are member exclusive. However, you can visit our registry with someone who has an active AMA membership to use our services. Being a member does offer plenty of value.
