  An incorrect engine dipstick re-installed in our engine. Original was yellow. 2026 Hyundai Tuscon 2.5L. This is a new vehicle with only 8200 kms, and thought we could trust the Great Canadian Oil Change (GCOC) company with first service. The engine oil level was checked regularly (per manufacturers instructions) and daily during our road trip to BC and back to Ontario. Dipstick handle was yellow. Manager (Austin Keyser) rationale was if they lost dipstick, they would have to order a new one and because there was no added time to our service, no issue. Manager also claims it was “clearly orange… contact our legal team.” Provided two short videos (7 sec) of a video (not original, appears cell phone video of video), no time stamps and out of focus. Still that shows yellow dipstick - pics attached When shown dipstick at end of service top was not seen. Honestly did not ask, but who would have thought that a simple service could be messed up. Colour was obvious when opening hood the next day the incorrect colour. Called the location several times, but no contact was received until contacting GCOC customer care. GCOC customer care has provided no support concerning the obvious discrepancies shown. #1, 2 & 3 pics of initial opening of hood (from their video of video) - circled areas where oil dipstick located, vehicle side marker and an orange Great Canadian Oil Change container located in pic. #4 pic of replaced / incorrect dipstick (original was yellow), against our vehicle side marker. - dipstick also looks used / older when compared to the new components of engine bay. Our VIN starts with “K”, which identifies the vehicle was manufactured in South Korea. These vehicles have a bright yellow engine oil dipstick. VIN starting with “3” Mexico and could be yellow or orange on the 2.5L. - confirmed information from our local dealership. Errors occur and somehow they mixed up our dipstick with another in the service bay. This is a new vehicle and not “scamming for a dipstick”, but the attitude and ridiculous rationale by this GCOC management that nothing occurred and the lack of response from GCOC corporate customer care, shows that they do not value your business or wish to preserve our trust. We would not recommend this location and in fact due to the lack of response from corporate Great Canadian Oil Change customer care, not recommend any location.

  I went there few months ago for an oil change. Few days later noticed drops of an oily substance on my driveway. Took the truck to a mechanic shop - was told I needed a new rack/pinion steering, ordered the part from the US and then realized afterwards the part was not needed and the cause of the oil leaking on my driveway was simply due to the oil change job. They made a big mess adding the new oil to the vehicle and didnt bother to clean it up. Shipping the part back to the US ended up costing me all in around $600 all because of a messy oil change.

  Have always had great service when here. Only thing that was wrong was the fact that google has not changed their hours for saturdays, which are at 8am start time. Are there not everything great

  Beware of this place! They changed my daughter’s oil, filter, and air filter. This company had changed the oil previously and stripped the nut on the oil pan, so could not get the nut back in so said they needed to use a temporary plug to hold the oil in place. We asked how long it would be okay to drive the car, they said until the next oil change. The next day, the temporary plug fell out on the highway, and all the oil drained onto the road. Luckily, it was later at night and minimal traffic. This useless company would not take any ownership of their pathetic workmanship and advice on the temporary plug, and would not cover the repairs that was required with a different mechanic shop. We are thankful it was a Honda civic and survived this event, as any other car would have seized up and ruined the engine. Beware of this place, nice people but terrible work and advice!!!
