I visited Calgary for the day and as I was heading out of town I had low tire pressure. Turns out I had a nail in my tire!! They were able to get me in pretty much immediately to do the repair!! I cannot thank them enough for getting me back on the road so quickly!!

When you just want a shop that will do honest work, without fuss, tell you if anything went wrong, and agree to make it right…this is that kind of shop.
Had my travel trailer in for new tires. Arriving to pick it up, was met with “we need to show you what happened…”. Uh oh, I thought. Well what “happened” was that they stripped the threads off a carriage bolt used to mount the spare, and it being Saturday, they couldn’t get a replacement. No problem, I said, I’d just look after it. “Bring us the receipt when you get the parts,” they said. We negotiated a discount instead.
The point: too many shops would have just put the spare tire cover on, and not mentioned it. And I would never have known. But not this shop.
And this is why I go to Fountain Tire. If only they sold Michelins…

I came here for a winter tire installation, but I’m very disappointed with the lack of attention to detail and integrity. After the service was completed, I noticed that my original BMW OEM valve caps had been removed and replaced with cheap, ordinary plastic ones. It’s frustrating to have specific factory parts swapped out without a word. It feels DISHONEST, and because of this lack of care, I won’t be returning to this location.

Great customer service. They recently were recommended by the owner of a nearby business, and already they’ve helped me out twice with no notice - greatly appreciated.
Tires wear out over time, and how long they last depends on things like road conditions, driving habits, inflation, and temperature. The best way to know when to replace them is to check them regularly.
Common ways to measure tread include the following.
- Tread wear bars: When these are flush with the tread, it’s time to replace.
- Coin test: If too much of the coin shows, your tread is low.
- Tread depth gauge: The most accurate way to measure.
If your tread is low or you see cracks, bulges, or notice vibration, come see us.
What are some signs my vehicle is out of alignment?
It doesn’t take much to throw your alignment off—potholes, curbs, or just everyday driving. Poor alignment can lead to faster tire wear and poor handling.
Common signs include:
- Vehicle pulls to one side
- Crooked steering wheel
- Uneven tire wear
- Loose or unstable steering
- Vibration in the steering wheel
If something feels off, we’re happy to take a look.
What’s included in the seasonal car care package?
Our seasonal car care package gets your vehicle ready for the weather ahead. It includes:
- Fresh engine oil and filter
- Chassis lubrication (as needed)
- Charging and starting system check
- Brake inspection
- Fluid top-ups
- Belt and hose inspection
- Battery test
- Tire and pressure check
- Heating/cooling system check
- Lights, wipers, and overall safety check
It’s a great way to make sure your vehicle is ready for the season.
What do the numbers on my tires mean?
The numbers on your tire’s sidewall tell you the size, load rating, and speed rating.
Example: 225/55R17 97H
- 225 – Tire width (mm)
- 55 – Height as a % of width
- R – Radial construction
- 17 – Wheel diameter (inches)
- 97 – Load rating (how much weight it can carry)
- H – Speed rating (maximum safe speed)
These numbers help us match you with the right tire.
When should I put my winter tires on?
A good rule of thumb: when you can see your breath — about 7°C and below. At that temperature, all-season tires start to harden, while winter tires stay flexible and grippy. Booking early helps you beat the rush.
