We have taken several of our vehicles to this location over the last few years. Each time they have been easy to deal with and have provided an honest assessment of needed work. Work has always been done well and within expected timelines. This time they did a full brake job on our truck at a much better price than the dealership, very appreciated!

Very disappointed with the service at Fountain Tire. I had my tires balanced here and had to bring them back a second time because the first balance was not done properly. After the second visit, the vibration was even worse than before. At this point, there is no way I am bringing them back a third time.
To make matters worse, the technician used a metal wire wheel on the inside of my rims to remove old adhesive before applying new wheel weights, which was very concerning.
I ultimately had to take my vehicle to Toyota to have the issue corrected properly, which cost me an additional $180 on top of the $142 I already spent at Fountain Tire. Overall, this was a very frustrating and expensive experience.
Update: After this review was posted, Fountain Tire asked me to contact their customer care team regarding my experience. I emailed them as requested and have not received any response after more than a week. Unfortunately, this has only added to the frustration and disappointment with the overall experience.

Was referred to them by a friend showing that they could be trusted and not try to scam me out of getting work done. That was not needed on my truck.
They did and out of province inspection for me and called a lot of things that were within the acceptable tolerances under alberta out of province Legislation inspection standards. Which included videos showing the damaged parts when there was zero play in those parts. Which included those part being just replaced few weeks before getting the inspection done and do have the receipt to prove new parts..
And when confronted, they interpreted the legislation to what they deemed was acceptable after having this vehicle already pre inspected before going to them, finding nothing wrong, they called many things saying a lot was wrong. Stay far away from them. We'll be finding another mechanic shop. That could be trusted and not scamming people.
Tires wear out over time, and how long they last depends on things like road conditions, driving habits, inflation, and temperature. The best way to know when to replace them is to check them regularly.
Common ways to measure tread include the following.
- Tread wear bars: When these are flush with the tread, it’s time to replace.
- Coin test: If too much of the coin shows, your tread is low.
- Tread depth gauge: The most accurate way to measure.
If your tread is low or you see cracks, bulges, or notice vibration, come see us.
What are some signs my vehicle is out of alignment?
It doesn’t take much to throw your alignment off—potholes, curbs, or just everyday driving. Poor alignment can lead to faster tire wear and poor handling.
Common signs include:
- Vehicle pulls to one side
- Crooked steering wheel
- Uneven tire wear
- Loose or unstable steering
- Vibration in the steering wheel
If something feels off, we’re happy to take a look.
What’s included in the seasonal car care package?
Our seasonal car care package gets your vehicle ready for the weather ahead. It includes:
- Fresh engine oil and filter
- Chassis lubrication (as needed)
- Charging and starting system check
- Brake inspection
- Fluid top-ups
- Belt and hose inspection
- Battery test
- Tire and pressure check
- Heating/cooling system check
- Lights, wipers, and overall safety check
It’s a great way to make sure your vehicle is ready for the season.
What do the numbers on my tires mean?
The numbers on your tire’s sidewall tell you the size, load rating, and speed rating.
Example: 225/55R17 97H
- 225 – Tire width (mm)
- 55 – Height as a % of width
- R – Radial construction
- 17 – Wheel diameter (inches)
- 97 – Load rating (how much weight it can carry)
- H – Speed rating (maximum safe speed)
These numbers help us match you with the right tire.
When should I put my winter tires on?
A good rule of thumb: when you can see your breath — about 7°C and below. At that temperature, all-season tires start to harden, while winter tires stay flexible and grippy. Booking early helps you beat the rush.
