Unfortunately, this was not a good experience for me.
I called the day before to ensure my rental would be ready at 8:00 a.m. because I needed to get to work on time. When I arrived, the employee was unprepared, searching for keys and repeatedly going back and forth between the office and parking lot. The vehicle was not ready, and I ended up being late for work.
The only vehicle available was a minivan, which was frustrating to drive due to constant speed-warning beeping, even when I was driving at or below the speed limit.
The return process was equally frustrating. The employee spent an excessive amount of time inspecting the vehicle and seemed determined to find damage. Thankfully, I had videotaped the vehicle before leaving the lot so I was not worried that he would find something I had damaged. He almost looked disappointed that he couldn’t find anything. I definitely recommend everybody videotape the car and take photos before you leave to protect yourself including the roof and under carriage. I was then told the vehicle was 8 litres short of fuel and had to return to a gas station to avoid extra charges.
Between the poor preparation, disappointing vehicle, lengthy return process, and unfriendly service, this was a very negative experience.
I’ve rented vehicles all over the world, and this was easily one of my least favourite rental experiences.
