    Basically, no customer service. Long wait. Originally told it would be an hour, and then they extended the wait time even longer after I waited. Unable to make an appointment online. Called in to try for another location and no one answers the phone at the other location.

    Excellant service. With new system it takes longer, but eventually it will run faster. I believe it was Kim who assisted with our driver's license. She was pleasant, helpful and efficient!!

    Just came back from AMA Willow Park. I had gone there to renew my Driver’s License. I reached at the AMA Willow Park at 8.45 AM and when the office opened at 09.00 AM, I was 16th person in line and there were another 15 people behind me. However there was only ONE (1) Representative serving the line. Hence, I went to the person who greets the incoming customers. I asked this gentleman if there would be any other Representatives coming. His response was “we had 6 Representatives yesterday but today 3 more would come at 10.00 AM” !!! I did not waste any more time there and on my way out told the people who were immediately in front of me and behind me in the queue that it would take a very long time for their turn to come. And I just drove over to the nearby Registry Office (Southland Registry), around 9.15 AM. There it was a totally different scene. There is a machine to take your number as soon as you enter. There are seats for people to wait. I was No. 44 and the people being served at the time, as per the Board was 11. However, there were 9 Representatives serving the customers and there was a Supervisor, (Kelly – with an ever-present smile) hovering from one Representative to other, helping them out with the quirks as the new system for the Drivers License renewal had been introduced. Carlos, the Representative at Southland Registry told me that this was the first time he was renewing the Driver’s License under the new System. Kelly would come and guide him and then go to another Representative. Such a helpful and pleasant persons. Another notable point. Quite a few of the persons, who were in line with me at AMA Willow Park were also there at the Southland Registry. Despite all that I was out of the Southland Registry at 10.10 AM. Heartfelt thanks to wonderful, fast, pleasant and professional service by Southland Registry. Special thanks to Carlos and Kelly (the Supervisor). The same thing happened to me last year at AMA and I had come to Southland Registry. I have been AMA Member since 1993. I can not give less than One Start to AMA because there is no option for that. AMA needs to learn a lesson. However, the question is – Will AMA do anything?? In the meanwhile, mercifully, Southland Registry is there.

    Had a great experience with Kim on the registry team. I had a pretty complicated situation, where I had to transfer a plate to a newly purchased used vehicle, and register the vehicle which was a JDM imported kei truck. She was super friendly throughout the whole transaction, even when I had to call insurance since they had screwed up the VIN on my pink slip (I was able to forward her a corrected copy, so she was able to print the corrected pink slip for her file). I'm a new member for AMA, and she let me know about the gift card deals, which I had no idea existed. Overall great interaction, I didn't spend more than 20 minutes waiting in line and getting my kei truck registered. (4:30pm afternoon on a Wednesday)
