- CBChristopher BradleyAug 21, 20265.0Due to our current "enlightened government" and their terrible changes to Alberta licences which feels like a way to strip new Albertans of healthcare and voting rights we knew we needed to change our address ASAP after moving to our new home (Still in Calgary). We knew lines could be long, so we showed up 30 min before they opened and lined up. We were greeted right at 9am when they opened, they took our name and membership and we had a seat. A huge queue formed behind us (this is nothing to do with AMA and everything to do with the current UCP government). We were texted at 9:01 and told to go to Vishal. Wonderful man and extremely knowledgeable. He changed all 3 of our licences, health care cards, vehicle registration, my accessibility parking placard and our AMA membership details to our new address. The number of forms he had to navigate was incredible. We left with all the information we needed and all the changes done. I could not be happier with AMA and especially Vishal. What a true professional. There is a lot of complaints about registries right now due to the UCP but Vishal and AMA managed to make it as painless as possible even in spite of what I think are draconian changes by the current AB government. I am happy I can vote to stay in Canada and not strip rights of new Albertans in this referendum thats coming up. We did not have a lot of time to get all of our ID updated to maintain ourselves on the AB voting records. Vishal and his professionalism made sure we have our ID, we can drive safely and up to date and participate in democracy. Thank you AMA, and thank you Vishal. Canada Forever.

As someone who's been to this location I know full well that the phone is ringing constantly beside them and they are doing whatever it is they do on their computers. Get better customer service from somewhere else.
- EEEsamAug 15, 20261.0I inquired about vehicle insurance. They were $800 more per year than what I am currently paying. They said it was a few past claims - one was from a theft 19 years ago! Outrageous. Don’t use them.

We offer passport photo services at all of our centres across Alberta. To learn more about this, visit ama.ab.ca/personal/passport-photo. My driver's licence is due soon. Do I have to book and appointment to renew?
You do not have to book an appointment to renew your driver's licence. Just stop by one of our centres and someone from our registries team will assist you with the renewal.
Do you offer an international driver's licence here?
We sure do. The test costs $17.60, plus the cost of getting your Driver's License after you pass. Visit our website and search for 'Drivers Licence Testing' to find all the information, including what to bring with you. Good luck!
Is there a way to get a in-transit sticker for a vehicle to move?

Can I use the registry services if I am not a member?
At AMA, our registry services are member exclusive. However, you can visit our registry with someone who has an active AMA membership to use our services. Being a member does offer plenty of value.
