Extremely frustrated with my experience at the Sunridge location. An agent named Alma pressured me into purchasing the Community AMA card, claiming it was completely necessary if I wanted to get the AMA app discounts. Later, when I purchased a new car and had to make an appointment to switch my policy, a second agent informed me that there is absolutely no relation between the app discount and the AMA membership. It turns out this Community membership is totally useless for what most people actually need AMA for—it includes zero roadside or towing assistance. This felt like a deceptive sales tactic just to get a sign-up. Be very careful if you deal with Alma and double-check what you are actually buying before paying.

Made me wait 2 hours on a call only to deny me cause of claims I could not control. 2 Weather related claim and 1 Not at fault accident.
Mind you I also had to repeat all the details I already placed on their online portal as well. Could have easily denied me then and there instead of making me wait on their call queue for 2 and a half hours. Screw this company. Matter a fact. Screw all insurance companies. What a scam.

Very disappointed with the customer service. It's been over an hour and no one has answered our call. We were kept waiting without any proper communication or accurate estimate of the wait time. This level of service is frustrating and unacceptable. I expected much better support.

Absolutely useless time wasters. I just checked in as a new customer for auto insurance and waited 30 minutes in line, only to be told that the line was simply to make an appointment because you do not accept walk ins.
Are you serious? At the very least, put up a sign clearly stating that appointments are required. You just wasted 30 minutes of my time for absolutely no reason. This could have been avoided with one simple sign.

We've had an AMA membership for years, and have multiple insurance policies with them. I've typically found their customer service reliable until my recent experience trying to get event insurance. I called initially to inquire and was on hold for over an hour, so I made a phone appointment, the representative called about 50 mins after the set time, and told me I couldn't get the event insurance until it was 30 days or less from the event. We booked a second phone appointment, and I waited and waited for the phone call. He called me almost 2 hrs after our appointment time, at which point I wasn't available and missed the call. I emailed the representative about the missed appointment, and have yet to receive a response (it's been over a week).
My partner then went to the sunridge branch, maybe we would have better luck in person. But unfortunately they allowed him to register to see someone, then after an hour of waiting he saw his name had been removed from the queue, and when he asked why his name was no longer in line they told him they didn't do walk in appointments for new insurance...even though he chose why he was there when he registered, and no one told him they wouldn't be able to help him.
It shouldn't be this frustrating and time consuming to get a policy, and the overall sense from all the experiences is that they don't care about the customer or wasting their time.
We'll be getting a policy elsewhere, and wouldn't recommend AMA anymore.
