  Very disappointing experience. I rented a car and was charged an excessive fuel fee, even though the tank was not full when I picked it up. When I returned the car, the tank wasn’t full either, and I admit that part was my mistake. However, the fuel charge was far higher than it should have been, and when I called customer service, the representative did not listen and told me to contact management. Poor customer service and unfair charges. I would not recommend renting from this company based on my experience.

  Upon returning the car, I was given difficulties regarding where I filled the car with fuel. I did fill it in Victoria, 24 km away but ensured that I squeezed a bit extra in to cover the distance to the airport. The agent repeatedly stated I was to fill it at one of the six stations within 10 km of the airport. But at 6:30 in the morning, I did not want to take any chances those stations where going to be open, so I filled up where it was convenient to me. Most cars of the type I drove would get mileage in the range of 7L/100km therefore at max. I used 1L. But, I did overkill the tank. So, this agents repeated, annoying comments made me think I will choose a different car rental agency next time I come to Victoria, BC. I can choose from Avis, Hertz, or Budget, and will do so. Thank you National for the poor service!

  Base model vehicles and doesn't do status upgrades. Might be better options at this airport.

  Wonderful service at the Victoria airport, waited for my delayed flight. Always courteous. Nice cars.
