  National Car Rental is absolutely terrible and I had a horrible experience with them. I rented a vehicle with them out of the Terrace/Kitimat airport and was issued an airport parking violation ticket. I know for fact that I did not commit this infraction because I was not at the airport the day the ticket was issued. All I did was drop off the vehicle in the designated return area the day after the ticket. First, National did not inform me of the ticket. They just charged $115 several weeks later using my credit card info without telling me. Second, because they automatically charged me (without telling me), I am now not able to dispute the ticket with the airport. The fact that the ticket is paid closes the case and admits guilt. National also charged $115 on a $80 ticket which is super annoying. I have rented with them while on business travel for several weeks at a time and given them thousands of dollars in business. I have called their citations dept., the local branch, etc multiple times and get nowhere. Essentially, I was charged an extra $115 for doing nothing wrong and because National paid the ticket for me (and did not tell me about it), I had no way of disputing it. I will never rent with them ever again. I highly recommend staying away from them as their customer service is terrible and they will charge you several weeks after a rental agreement without any sort of explanation. It is then very difficult if not impossible to get ahold of anyone and nobody will help.

  A warm welcome, smooth check-in, and a clean, reliable vehicle. Really exceptional service. It was my second time at the Terrace location, and the first time was equally outstanding!

  I cannot thank the team at National Car Rental in Terrace, B.C., enough for their outstanding service. After an issue with my rental vehicle that was completely out of my control, I arrived feeling very stressed. That's when Dan stepped in. He was incredibly polite, understanding, and, most importantly, a fantastic listener. He immediately took ownership of the problem and worked diligently to find a perfect solution for me. His customer orientation and dedication were through the roof—it was some of the best service I've ever experienced. This wasn't just about Dan, though. The entire team at this location clearly pays the highest attention to quality service, customer care, and safety, which was so important in this situation. They turned a potentially ruined trip into a demonstration of what excellent customer service looks like. My highest recommendation. I will absolutely be doing business with this specific National location in Terrace whenever I'm in the area. Thank you, Dan and team!
