Absolutely the best service 👌🏾
I was done wrong in Smithers (kal tire) waited 4 weeks for my tires after I was told 4 days then they wanted me to wait another 3 weeks installed, the problem came when I gave them the ( First Nations) company name.
I called here Fountain tire 🛞 and they had the tires in stock and got them studded the afternoon I called and I came two hours away the next morning and had the tires on before noon 👌🏾.
That was a couple hours wait compared to waiting over 400 hours.
Absolutely recommend getting your next tires here @ FOUNTAIN TIRE..💪🏾
Ohh right I got to test them on 11% slope the next day and went in about a 6-7” inch’s of snow ❄️ in two wheel drive.
Photo was taken on my way down before I was back in the muddy roads

Was passing through terrace when my car broke down, I’m a mechanic and normally fix everything myself but being on the road I was short on tools. The guys at fountain tyre did not hesitate to help me out and finish what I was unable to do to get me back on the road that day. The staff were super helpful and happy to help going above and beyond

Pretty disappointed in the work from this shop. I went in on Friday with a slow leak in my tire(I was camping so needed to get it fixed asap), I was super impressed and thankful that they got me in right away. After waiting for 1 hour and 20 minutes they said they had dunked it and couldn’t find any leak, and that right before they were about to finish they found a small rock between the tire and rim. I was very happy and thanked them and went on my way. Not even 2 days later my tire was flat again - this time I had tools to check myself. After a soapy water test on my tire I found a tiny slice in the tire. Clearly they did not do their due diligence in checking for leaks. Very disappointing. TERRACE LOCATION

Very happy with me experience! I came off the Telkwa Pass trail and needed some air in my tires. I asked the wonderful lady inside and she didnt skip a beat to get one of the guys in the shop to hook me up. Shane got all my tire pressures back up for me and helped with my broken running board. Superb service without any hesitation.
Thank you
Tires wear out over time, and how long they last depends on things like road conditions, driving habits, inflation, and temperature. The best way to know when to replace them is to check them regularly.
Common ways to measure tread include the following.
- Tread wear bars: When these are flush with the tread, it’s time to replace.
- Coin test: If too much of the coin shows, your tread is low.
- Tread depth gauge: The most accurate way to measure.
If your tread is low or you see cracks, bulges, or notice vibration, come see us.
What are some signs my vehicle is out of alignment?
It doesn’t take much to throw your alignment off—potholes, curbs, or just everyday driving. Poor alignment can lead to faster tire wear and poor handling.
Common signs include:
- Vehicle pulls to one side
- Crooked steering wheel
- Uneven tire wear
- Loose or unstable steering
- Vibration in the steering wheel
If something feels off, we’re happy to take a look.
What’s included in the seasonal car care package?
Our seasonal car care package gets your vehicle ready for the weather ahead. It includes:
- Fresh engine oil and filter
- Chassis lubrication (as needed)
- Charging and starting system check
- Brake inspection
- Fluid top-ups
- Belt and hose inspection
- Battery test
- Tire and pressure check
- Heating/cooling system check
- Lights, wipers, and overall safety check
It’s a great way to make sure your vehicle is ready for the season.
What do the numbers on my tires mean?
The numbers on your tire’s sidewall tell you the size, load rating, and speed rating.
Example: 225/55R17 97H
- 225 – Tire width (mm)
- 55 – Height as a % of width
- R – Radial construction
- 17 – Wheel diameter (inches)
- 97 – Load rating (how much weight it can carry)
- H – Speed rating (maximum safe speed)
These numbers help us match you with the right tire.
When should I put my winter tires on?
A good rule of thumb: when you can see your breath — about 7°C and below. At that temperature, all-season tires start to harden, while winter tires stay flexible and grippy. Booking early helps you beat the rush.
