Absolute lifesavers!
Advantage car rental cancelled our 7-seater booking via text (to some random number) and email which went to junk, a few days prior. They tried renting us a replacement for our cancelled $279 rental with a $1200 rental. Nightmare fuel!!
So we panicked and called around for help and Sixt, heard us out and and offered us a van at a VERY reasonable rate and even ensured it was a hybrid to save us on a ton of gas!
This van was so amazing and clean that I can’t wait to buy one for myself one day.
Roms was the man who helped us out and God bless him for helping me help my group of 7 cousins. We will forever rent with Sixt after this trip!!

NEVER NEVER NEVER BOOK SIXT RENTAL CAR.
There should honestly be an option for negative ratings. I used to be a regular customer, but I have completely stopped booking with them.
To recover their losses, they may open questionable damage claims against customers and then threaten to escalate the case to recovery agencies. They also send bills for alleged violations and deduct charges from your card without proper prior notice or detailed explanation.
I strongly recommend choosing more reliable rental companies located directly within the airport instead.

I booked a car online in advance. After landing in Vancouver, I received an email saying my reservation was cancelled. I immediately called and was told to come to the location and they would provide a car.
I took an Uber from the airport and paid $50. When I arrived, they told me there was no car available. I then had to take another Uber back and paid another $45 — while carrying my luggage and with my phone almost dead. It was extremely stressful and unprofessional.
It honestly felt like because I booked the vehicle at a lower online rate, they were not willing to honor the reservation.
Now I’m being told it may take up to three days to get my refund — even though their system still shows my reservation as active.
Very disappointing service. I would not recommend this location.

I decided to try Sixt in December of 2025; I wont be making that mistake again. When I arrived to pick up the vehicle I asked the man at the counter if he was coming out to do a walkthrough of the vehicle with me before leaving, to which he replied "nope". I went outside and took a photo of each side of the vehicle (as I always do) before leaving the lot. I went on my trip, had no issues, and then returned the vehicle a couple days later. When I brought the keys inside, they had me sign the agreement saying everything was good and that I was free to go. Two days later I got an email from Sixt saying there was damage on front passenger rim (two scratches less than 10cm). I was extremely confused as the vehicle was parked in a garage for almost my entire trip, there was no street parking, and I had no issues during any of my driving.
I filled out their claim report stating the damage was there before I left the lot, and NOT as a result of my time with the vehicle. I circled the damage on my time and date stamped photo and attached it to the form. I didn't hear anything back for 3 months, so I figured they reviewed my note and photo, and closed the case. WRONG! Instead, this week they have a claims company send me an email stating I owe them $780 for the rim scratch. I AGAIN respond to the email stating it was evident from the photo I attached I am not responsible for the damage, to which I have no response.
To further frustration, finding a phone number to talk with a representative isn't an easy task; and the situation hasn't been resolved. I should have read the many reviews of others with this same experience (ironically enough with the same reported damage). Save yourself the hassle and don't book with Sixt, I will never use Sixt again and will advocate for others to do the same. A report with the BBB has been filed.

0 star, never ever rent car from this company. It seems like scammer. At first it seems cheap price but it charge customers for nothing later. I rented a car from this location in June 2026 for two days. Then I returned the car without any damage and recovered videos that clearly showed the car was not damage. After 15 days I received an email that the car has been damaged 10 centimetres at the rear bumper and charged me $441 for repairing. I shared the video for evidence that the car was not damaged the time of returning. Even didn’t answer my email for around two months. Again asked me the money without saying any thing about the video I shared. I shared the video again. Finally after exchanging several emails they didn’t accept the video as evidence. They get $441 somehow by force.
If you guys rent car from this company be ready for paying a big money after returning the car for nothing.
