  Tried to hire a car at Vancouver airport with winter tires as it wasn't possible online. I called the number, it went to a central phone line, they couldn't help me so gave me an email for the Vancouver branch. I emailed 5 days ago. No response. Despite being a platinum member, I went with enterprise, you can book winter tires online with them.

  I really enjoyed the rental. I accidentally paid for one more day and so they gave me an upgrade to a bmw 2 series. However the fact that they are about 10-15 mins away is a bit of a hassle. The first ride was good he was there within 10 mins. The ride after my rental was tough they had a Sixt van outside with no driver so instead they put us on the regular bus that doesn’t take you direct to your terminal and takes forever. We got to Sixt 2.5 hours before our flight and ended up getting to the terminal an hour and 45 mins before our flight. Overall a great rental just unneeded stress at the end

  Nous attendons le remboursement des frais d’annulation depuis plus de 4 mois, car le service client a reconnu que l’annulation n’était pas de notre faute. Sur leur site internet, il était mentionné « paiement en carte de débit ou crédit ». Nous avions choisi de réserver chez Sixt justement parce qu’ils acceptaient les cartes de débit… jusqu’à qu’on apprenne que c’est une erreur du site, à 4 jours seulement de notre départ ! Nous avons du trouver une solution d’urgence pour pouvoir louer une voiture pour notre voyage de 3 semaines… Nous avons traité avec Turo et c’était super. Nous attendons toujours notre remboursement des frais d’annulation de près de 80€, ce sont des voleurs.

  I have rented a BMW X3 from them last year and ended up very happy. The service was fast and the representative very friendly. I was able to book a car from germany beforehand and got exactly what i expected. The only hiccup was that my company discount was missing in the initial invoice. Other than that my experience was very good.

  Sixt at YVR is horrible TLDR; Save yourself a headache and avoid Sixt at YVR airport. In fact, it’s not even at the airport!!! This is by far one of the worst car rental experiences I’ve ever had in my life. I arrived late in the evening due to delays in my flight. I arrived at the car rental area to find out Sixt wasn’t there. So I checked the instructions and it told me to go to the courtesy shuttle spot. I couldn’t find the phone for a very long time (it was actually inside). I called Sixt customer support for assistance, a lady responded by saying: just wait for the shuttle. She wouldn’t say which shuttle. I asked if she connect me to the local office or any one who can help me, she said no. What’s the point of calling customer service if they can’t do anything more than the app? After a while, I did more research online and found out the Sixt shop is 10 min away and was closed!!! I was stranded at the airport with all my luggage at 1 AM in the morning so I decided to opt for another company who fortunately had a vehicle available and a real person to talk to. Sixt also are charging me for a cancellation fee. The bot agent helped file a complaint but of course they’re going to take their sweet time. Maybe there’s a human in the loop somewhere that can help make things right? Sixt should be banned from advertising as a car rental service at YVR unless they change or significantly improve their service. If you charge an airport premium, then you should service people at the airport or provide service to whenever the party lands. Otherwise, this is false advertisement.
