Waited over 20 minutes just to speak with the manager about a simple issue: the location had overbooked premium crossover vehicles and had nothing available despite my reservation. Meanwhile, the airport location was charging almost double for the exact same car and rental duration. When the manager finally showed up, she had zero interest in listening or helping. Completely dismissive, lacked basic communication skills, and seemed far more focused on upselling premium cars to Emerald Aisle customers than resolving an actual problem. No professionalism, no decency, no accountability. To make it worse, I found the same vehicle at Enterprise for $40 less. When I tried to explain this to the representative, the manager literally stepped in and told the employee not to price match and to say the car was already booked—which was simply not true. I’m a long-term Emerald Aisle customer, and this experience was embarrassing for the brand. Even the assistant nearby apologized for the manager’s behavior, which says everything. This was enough to make me seriously reconsider giving National my business again. Loyalty clearly means nothing here. National do better and hold your managers accountable instead of pushing sales with premium pricing
