  Quick service - both check-in and check-out, no hassles, made aware but no pressure to buy extras. Car in good condition. Only comment I will make is re: roadside assistance as optional. To be clear, I did not face any issue with the car I rented, it worked smoothly, no issues. This is a general comment that I guess applies all car rental companies. As a reputed car rental company, I’m sure you are keeping cars in good working and operational condition so if the car breaks down due to something wrong with it then you should include such service. The customer should not have to pay out of pocket to get the broken down car to a repair shop and possibly also pay extra for a replacement vehicle.

  If I could give negative stars, I would. We arrived at 12:30am due to flight delays to pick up our car and drive to Whistler only to find that there were NO (Zero) cars available. We were left to scramble to find a hotel (you cannot book online for the night when it's the next day already). Would they have car the next day? They could not guarantee that. In the end, we were able to get a care at 10:30am the following morning which meant that we missed a day of skiing and spent $300 on a hotel. Net cost to us of $600+. I have called Alamo 10X trying to get them to cover our costs that were purely due to the local mismanagement. I have been promised resolution every time. Nothing has ever come, including the promised call. NEVER RENT FROM ALAMO.

  When you are renting a car from Alamo and your flight flights are delayed and you're getting in late at night make sure that you enter in your flight number and time of arrival. Their policy is to make sure that someone stays one hour past their scheduled time to close which is 1 AM. I'd called to make sure that someone would be there three times and when I got there no one was there. The company was very hospitable and accommodating and looked after my cab rides to the destination that I required. However they didn't offer to compensate me for their travel back to the airport which was 45 minutes away. They did upgrade my vehicle which I was grateful for. All in they looked after me very well and were very accommodating and apologetic however, make sure you do your own due diligence in making sure that your flight number is entered and they know that you will be arriving late.

  This alamo has the best service, sweetest crew and a new fleet Over the past year or so, I have traveled to Vancouver over ten times and would always rent the cheapest car from the airport that I can find available online. Few times I rented from Hertz and Budget and even with my Hertz Presidents Status, I would usually get a beat down Nissan Vensa or whatever old car they have available, when mentioning of upgrades, Hertz simply said they don’t have that available or it’s going to be 30-50 extra per day But the few times i rented from Alamo i always get one or two tier upgrade and always a new car (within year or two old)! Great customer service, never weird about not wanting to prepay gas, and always professional Big shout out to Laura from the lot! She was super down to earth and helped me find my car! Would love to come back and rent from you guys again

  I booked a mid-size SUV, but when I got there, they gave me a compact car. After driving to Squamish, I realized it was uncomfortable, so they arranged an exchange. First, I got a Nissan Kicks, which is a compact SUV, and it was brand new with only 15 kilometers on it. Then, they swapped it for a Tucson, also new, with 150 kilometers. I was really happy with the Tucson. I would've given them 5 stars if I had gotten the Tucson from the beginning. Tips: 1. Make a video of the car when you pick up and drop off. 2. A Petro-Canada gas station is right where you drop off the vehicle, so fill the gas before you drop off to avoid refueling charges. P.S. I made a beginner's mistake, so don't just take what they give you right away. If you want a specific car in your category, ask them, and they'll help you out. It was my first rental experience, and it was smooth. Alamo will be my go-to in the future too. Thanks!!
