We are not very impressed with the customer service at Fountain Tire. We bought brand new tires 2 years ago, they installed the wrong tires and now the tires are needing to be replaced with only 1/2 of the km's covered under the warranty. Quite the run around because of their own mixup in installing the wrong tires in the first place. 1st phone call they asked us to come in and were told they would see what they could do because the tires should not have worn like they did so fast and then no reply, 2nd phone call we were told the shop would cover new tires because the warranty wouldnt help due to their initial mistake installing the wrong tires, 3rd phone call to make an appointment we were told it would cost $1900 for the new tires. Whatever happened to good customer service and standing by what you say. As a small business owner I know the value of good customer service and the damage that bad service can do. Do better Fountain Tire, do better.

The manager chuck went above and beyond for me in a time of need that may have caused me more damage in the long run if he wasn’t able to squeeze me in and diagnose my engine problem. And a huge shout out to the front counter staff they are awesome to. Chat with and have a great sense of humour!

The owners and employees at Fountain Tire Penticton are amazing. They do my twice-yearly tire swaps, regular maintenance, and urgent fixes. They also contribute to several worthwhile organizations in Penticton. Terrific group of people!

Came in for what I thought would be a quick tire swap and ended up waiting almost two hours, even though I had an appointment. When they finally got to my car, they didn’t even put the right tire pressure in—one was way overinflated and the other was low, so my dash light came on as soon as I drove off. When I asked them to fix it, the woman at the counter acted annoyed like I was the problem. Prices weren’t what I was quoted on the phone either, somehow the bill was about $70 higher with “shop fees” I wasn’t told about. I don’t mind paying for good service, but this wasn’t it. Honestly, I’d recommend going somewhere else if you want the job done right the first time, especially without the hidden fees.

Frequently Asked Questions About Fountain Tire

When should I replace my tires?

Tires wear out over time, and how long they last depends on things like road conditions, driving habits, inflation, and temperature. The best way to know when to replace them is to check them regularly. Common ways to measure tread include the following. - Tread wear bars: When these are flush with the tread, it’s time to replace. - Coin test: If too much of the coin shows, your tread is low. - Tread depth gauge: The most accurate way to measure. If your tread is low or you see cracks, bulges, or notice vibration, come see us.

What are some signs my vehicle is out of alignment?

It doesn’t take much to throw your alignment off—potholes, curbs, or just everyday driving. Poor alignment can lead to faster tire wear and poor handling. Common signs include: - Vehicle pulls to one side - Crooked steering wheel - Uneven tire wear - Loose or unstable steering - Vibration in the steering wheel If something feels off, we’re happy to take a look.
