  I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with Boyd Auto Body & Glass in Nanaimo has been so frustrating and disappointing that I feel obligated to warn others. What started as a straightforward repair with an initial quote of around $4,000 somehow ballooned into a $9,000 charge to my insurance company. At no point was this escalation clearly communicated or justified in a way that made sense. Instead, I was repeatedly given vague explanations and shifting stories about what was supposedly covered and why costs kept climbing. Even more concerning, I was told certain parts and labor would be covered, only to later find out that wasn’t the case. It felt like I was being misled just to get the work approved. On top of that, parts of my vehicle were apparently damaged during the repair process itself—yet those same parts were then billed to my insurance as if they were part of the original damage. That’s not just careless, it’s unacceptable and predatory business practice. As for timing—don’t expect them to stick to it. Every single promised completion date came and went with no accountability. Each delay was met with excuses rather than solutions, leaving me constantly chasing updates and rearranging my schedule. Overall, this experience was a mess from start to finish: poor communication, questionable at best billing practices, missed deadlines, and zero ownership of mistakes. I would strongly recommend thinking twice before trusting them with your vehicle

  I’m very thankful to Boyd Autobody & Glass for their support after my car was hit. The team was helpful and professional, and I really appreciate the guidance they provided during a stressful time. A special thanks to Saurabh, who assisted me with patience and clear advice throughout the process. His help made things much easier to understand and handle. Highly appreciated.

  These guys are unbelievably amazing!! Best service and the best staff I have ever experienced in auto body repair. I highly recommend them In any circumstance. They know how to take care of you and your vehicle with compassion and care.

  When I took my car to Boyd I was at my wits end with people who were less than courteous and rude!!! I had my ICBC claim number after prying it from their fingers!! I was greeted at Boyd with the utmost courtesy and the guy said let us take care of you and your car, a huge hole in my sun roof!! I was pleasantly surprised at having a courtesy car that didn’t cost extra and my car was definitely cleaner than when I had left it!!’ Customer service is alive at Boyd!!! Thank You all so much!!!!

  I have used this repair shop for two previous ICBC claims. They were always great at communicating and completed the repairs on time with quality work. Today I took my newer car in for a loose piece of trim. A small repair that was not under any insurance claim. They put my car in the shop quickly, replaced the broken clips and a missing bolt in less than 30 minutes. They wouldn't accept any payment for this small repair. If you need a great autobody repair shop with honest people and fantastic customer service, this is the place to go. I have used them for years now and they continue to impress. They will always earn my business.
