I had to stew over my experience over the holidays so here it goes. My car had 0 issues before I took it in.
My car was making a subtle rattling sound. It wasn't happening consistent and maybe 1 week on and off before I took it in. The day I took it in, I recorded a video of the sound. I told the fellow, I only heard on the passenger side, but it stopped when I popped the hood. He looked at it, called me back and said it was my front bearings and rotors on all 4 of my tires. Sure. If it needed to be done, that's what it is, I trust you, you are the mechanic. Paid over 2 grand. Right before the holidays. Picked up my car. A day later, same sound. I popped the hood. Went away. I called the mechanic and he told me to bring it back in. Took another video, for the sound to show him again. When I arrived, I felt gaslit by the employee saying I said it was a different sound. But I recorded the sound each time and showed him both times. He looked again. The issue actually wasn't the tires or anything. My windshield wiper holders are stripped and it slide down, and was rattling against my hood on the passenger side.
I understand maybe rotors and bearings needed to be replaced eventually, normal wear, but I feel like my service was very misdiagnosed. Because I didn't have to do those upgrades just yet. Which put my out alot of money before Christmas. Whatever.
I then get a call a week ago asking if they want me to have them purchase the part to fix the wiper blade. Excuse me? You mis diagnose the problem and then want to charge me for fixing the actual problem? The audacity.
Also noteworthy, when you were going under my hood, things were kind of left hanging and not attached and now my car is making a weird flipping sounds. I've never had issues with my vehicle, as I keep up with the servicing and I did have a great mechanic who helped with that. He unfortunately retired this year. My vehicle has never made weird sounds anytime I seen him and things were always left intact.
I would love a refund but I know that won't happen because the wrong diagnosis parts are already in my vehicle. So I won't come back and I have booked myself elsewhere.

Moe is the best. I recently moved from Ontario and had to get my car safetied. After getting a quote from KalTire I shopped around and Moe was able to save me over $1000 from what KalTire would have charged. I not only did I pass my safety, but I had some trouble a few weeks later changing my license plates-screw was stripped and I couldn’t get it off. Moe squeezed me in that day and switched them out for me with no extra charge. Highly highly recommend Moe at Primary.

I took my car (which I knew was in terrible shape) to Primary Auto Repair, where they told me that there wasn't much anyone could do to fix it. They were super honest about the situation and didn't try to upsell me on a bunch of parts. They went above and beyond, calling around and even keeping my dead car at their shop for over a week while I figured out my next moves. They answered all my questions, provided me with a wide range of options, and even offered advice for when I look for a new car. Losing a vehicle is super stressful, but the whole team at Primary Auto was absolutely fantastic at helping me (especially as someone without a whole lot of car knowledge). Moving forward, I will be recommending Primary Auto to everyone I know for their vehicle troubles!

I contacted them to ask about a quote for my 2007 Honda civic front right wheel bearing replacement. They quoted 800 not including parts. A mechanic shop quoted me $325+tax for parts and labor for same job. Would still be half price having it towed to the shop and have them repair.
