Ethan and Kolton have given me superior customer service. I started coming to this fountain tire upon hearing how well they balance tires (specifically from Kamloops car scene members). I made a deal with Ethan at that time (2-3 years ago) that if they balanced my tires perfectly I’d give the lads a box of donuts. Well, they did. Since then this fountain tire has been my go to tire shop. Truck tires, car tires, tractor tires, trailer tires, everything. Each time I come in they are always on their A-game. Offering insight on the best tires for my use, best deals, and when they can, discounts.
I’m very pleased to have built a positive relationship with the people at Fountain Tire and am looking forward to further transactions.

After being told by Kal Tire that my flat tire was no good and needed to be replaced, I brought it to Fountain Tire for a second opinion. Within 20 minutes, they had it properly diagnosed and fixed — it was just a faulty valve stem. Problem solved for under $50. Super professional, honest, and efficient. Really appreciated their help after feeling like I was getting the runaround elsewhere. Highly recommend.

Excellent professional service. We desperately needed new tires on our travel trailer to get home and they fit us in first thing and had us back on the road within the hour. The guy who personally worked on our trailer was very friendly! Will definitely go back to Fountain tire in the future.
Tires wear out over time, and how long they last depends on things like road conditions, driving habits, inflation, and temperature. The best way to know when to replace them is to check them regularly.
Common ways to measure tread include the following.
- Tread wear bars: When these are flush with the tread, it’s time to replace.
- Coin test: If too much of the coin shows, your tread is low.
- Tread depth gauge: The most accurate way to measure.
If your tread is low or you see cracks, bulges, or notice vibration, come see us.
What are some signs my vehicle is out of alignment?
It doesn’t take much to throw your alignment off—potholes, curbs, or just everyday driving. Poor alignment can lead to faster tire wear and poor handling.
Common signs include:
- Vehicle pulls to one side
- Crooked steering wheel
- Uneven tire wear
- Loose or unstable steering
- Vibration in the steering wheel
If something feels off, we’re happy to take a look.
What’s included in the seasonal car care package?
Our seasonal car care package gets your vehicle ready for the weather ahead. It includes:
- Fresh engine oil and filter
- Chassis lubrication (as needed)
- Charging and starting system check
- Brake inspection
- Fluid top-ups
- Belt and hose inspection
- Battery test
- Tire and pressure check
- Heating/cooling system check
- Lights, wipers, and overall safety check
It’s a great way to make sure your vehicle is ready for the season.
What do the numbers on my tires mean?
The numbers on your tire’s sidewall tell you the size, load rating, and speed rating.
Example: 225/55R17 97H
- 225 – Tire width (mm)
- 55 – Height as a % of width
- R – Radial construction
- 17 – Wheel diameter (inches)
- 97 – Load rating (how much weight it can carry)
- H – Speed rating (maximum safe speed)
These numbers help us match you with the right tire.
When should I put my winter tires on?
A good rule of thumb: when you can see your breath — about 7°C and below. At that temperature, all-season tires start to harden, while winter tires stay flexible and grippy. Booking early helps you beat the rush.
