  I took this hair brained trip from Fairbanks to Michigan in a truck I bought about a month prior. My thermostat went out in Tok, Alaska. I had the only open shop I could find there replace the thermostat. He did the best he could considering where we were- Boonie Ville. Come to find out it was an aftermarket thermostat, so the truck continued to overheat the whole way to Fort Nelson. It was -40°F below mind you. I got into Ft. Nelson on a Friday night, redlining the thermostat. Spent the entire weekend at the Super 8 across the street waiting for the shop to open. I was so grateful to find a mechanic like Todd. He diagnosed everything called me puzzled because he said, "your truck is mechanically sound, there's nothing wrong with it," and the only thing that he could think of was that my truck was rejecting the aftermarket thermostat. He was right on ths money. 🥰😍 The next issue was in order to fix it, we had to order a factory thermostat from Alberta which would take about 2 days, and it was delayed an extra day because of the bad weather because some unseen force, just wanted me to be there stuck in BC lol. When the thermostat finally arrived it took Todd all of 30 minutes to install it and then he also fixed my blend actuator door on my driver's side which was stuck. He did a fantastic job! His shop was my Christmas miracle. 🎄 I made it safely to Michigan without further incident, and right on time for Christmas! Thank you Todd. 😊 And thank you Lori for being such a great communicator! 🤩You deserve a billion stars!
