On my way to Ladner I noticed my tire developed a leak. Called Fountain Tire and I was able to drop it off right away, and they were able to look and repair it quickly and I was able to resume my day. Great service!

I had three tires leaking air. Fountain Tire figured out the issue in under 5 minutes and had the problem solved in under an hour. Something Canadian Tire was unable to figure out after multiple visits and leak tests.

I brought my truck in for a wheel alignment and spoke with Justin Lal. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed with the level of customer service I received. After inspecting my vehicle, I was told they couldn’t perform the alignment due to a cracked frame, which I completely understand. However, I was then informed that my truck was undriveable and should be taken to a wrecker. When I arrived to discuss this in person, Justin showed me videos of the issue, but when I politely asked if I could see it myself, he spoke to me in a very dismissive and condescending manner rather than respectfully explaining that it wasn’t possible to view without putting the vehicle on a hoist. When my mother asked what options we had to fix the problem, we were told that a good mechanic wouldn’t repair it, that it would cost thousands of dollars, and that the best option was to send my 1995 F150 — which has very little rust and is in almost perfect condition — to the junkyard. Being told by a professional to scrap my vehicle without suggesting alternatives, such as getting a quote from a welding or frame repair shop, felt unhelpful and unprofessional. He also mentioned that if I decided to purchase a different vehicle, their shop could inspect it and that they have “stopped many people from buying bad vehicles.” While I understand offering inspection services, this felt inappropriate in the context of being told to scrap a repairable truck. It’s also disappointing from an environmental perspective. Encouraging customers to send vehicles to the junkyard and purchase replacements, rather than explore reasonable repair options, does not support sustainability. Repairing vehicles when safely possible is not only practical for customers, but also more responsible for the environment — something I would expect a professional mechanic shop to value. I later inspected the frame myself and will be pursuing a weld repair, as the cracks appear small and repairable. Based on this experience and the way I was treated, I will not be returning or recommending this shop.

Ryan and his team have very helpful and informative everytime I have gone in. Including recently helping out on a last minute valve stem issue with our RV. They are my go to tire shop.

Frequently Asked Questions About Fountain Tire

When should I replace my tires?

Tires wear out over time, and how long they last depends on things like road conditions, driving habits, inflation, and temperature. The best way to know when to replace them is to check them regularly. Common ways to measure tread include the following. - Tread wear bars: When these are flush with the tread, it’s time to replace. - Coin test: If too much of the coin shows, your tread is low. - Tread depth gauge: The most accurate way to measure. If your tread is low or you see cracks, bulges, or notice vibration, come see us.

What are some signs my vehicle is out of alignment?

It doesn’t take much to throw your alignment off—potholes, curbs, or just everyday driving. Poor alignment can lead to faster tire wear and poor handling. Common signs include: - Vehicle pulls to one side - Crooked steering wheel - Uneven tire wear - Loose or unstable steering - Vibration in the steering wheel If something feels off, we’re happy to take a look.
