- SSSvensJan 20, 20261.0ICBC rented a car for us following a hi speed accident. We arrived to pick the car up and I pointed out a fair amount of damage on the car. The fellow working there had a paper with a circle on that you could see through. Every time I pointed out a dent or scratch he would hold the circled over it and say no problem it's smaller than the circle. Please understand we were not ourselves following the car accident. Normally I would video the entire car to avoid any problems and make sure they marked it on the pre-rental inspection. But being pretty rattled I did not notice he didn't even have a pre- report with him during the inspection and sent us on our way with no paperwork at all. We returned the car to the Penticton branch and were told there was new damage to the grill. After an hour or so of back and forth with the returning branch and the Chilliwack branch I threatened them with legal action and hung up the phone. They dropped the matter and said they would take care of the damaged grill them selves. Beware the this company as they will take advantage of people. We have rented cars internationally for years and always taken pictures and video before we leave the lot. This was our first time experiencing underhanded business practice.
