What a disappointing experience. Safelite came to our home to replace the windshield but afterward told us they couldn’t calibrate it and that we needed to drive to their shop in town — nearly 50 minutes each way. After waiting there for several hours, they again said they were unable to recalibrate the windshield and told us to take the vehicle to a dealer. Despite this, they still charged us for both the windshield and the calibration and refused to refund the calibration fee.
The dealer then informed us that we would have to pay their calibration charge whether they were successful or not. Progressive wasn’t able to help either; because Safelite is their vendor, they said our only options were to file a warranty claim — even though the vehicle hadn’t left Safelite’s shop — or file an insurance claim, but they couldn’t confirm whether a deductible would apply since we had already paid Safelite directly.
In the end, neither Safelite nor Progressive is taking ownership of the problem, and we’re left with a new vehicle whose safety features no longer function.

I expected top notch service from such a well known glass service company. Unfortunately I was disappointed. I made a special trip to their shop the day before my appointment to ensure my windshield would be properly replaced as I had some damaged edging. The clerk failed to check my vehicle and advised all the parts would be included. They were not and now I'll need to figure out how i want to go about fixing the issue. Not a happy customer.

Insurance claim in November, first replacement in November, got the wrong windshield. It took 4 windshield replacements to get the correct one. In the process we were accused of not seeing well, making up the problem, the defect was in the car and also that it had a previous problem. The problem was the hud was not in focus, it was presenting shadows. At the forth replacement they tried to charge the deductible again. We finally got things sorted out in March of the next year. So, no, my experience with this company was not at all good.
