- JIJames Cherry IIINov 10, 20255.0When it comes to convenience stores/gas stations, I prefer cleanliness, a wide variety of products, and friendly, professional staff. The store in this review is store # 1453, located at 1884 S Craycroft Road. This particular store made a good impression on me. The parking lot was well kept (very little trash to speak of). I was greeted with a warm smile and noticed that there was plenty of staff on hand to handle the customer load. I have been to some of their competitors' stores to find long lines and one employee trying to handle everything. No convenience there. There was also an armed security officer watching deliveries and running off people loitering on the property. I felt safe, knowing that I would not be harassed for money by the homeless. I like giving; however, being constantly approached for money, no matter what convenience store I go to, has left me feeling stingy. So, it was a plus to see that the store owner cares enough to put the proper personnel in place to run a safe and efficient store. Overall, I highly recommend this QT for a visit. I do not feel that you will be disappointed.
- TCTim CrawfordMay 1, 20255.0WARNING - HOMELESS ALERT. I really like QT, and the staff at this particular location are very friendly and professional. And I like to pick up my lunch a couple of times a week, and the food is always very good. But the homeless problem is completely out of hand. The sidewalk in front of the store today had no fewer than 6 vagrants, and I was approached for money once on the way in and once again on the way out. I hate to give a one-star because it reflects poorly on the business, and I am absolutely certain the owners and staff hate this far more than I do. I avoid this location after dark. I didn't see a security guard, and I know that is quite expensive, but some "No loitering", "No panhandling" signs along with a security guard telling these people to move on would be a great benefit for your business. It would be nice if our mayor and city council gave a damn. **UPDATE** the response from the owner indicates the owner did NOT actually read my review. You invited me to return, but I'm telling you I am reluctant to return because of your vagrant problem.
