I like being able to just walk out and choose a car and drive away at large airports. But the last several rentals the cars were most definitely not worth the premium price you pay for the ease of rental and loyalty program rewards at national. Completely base model cars. I always check other prices and I have been choosing national for the mentioned reasons. But where I had a base model Altima on this last rental I could have had a loaded Mercedes or BMW for $50 less at sixt. It isn’t worth it, unless I was saving a lot of time at a crowded airport like Atlanta. One tip o can leave you if you are renting here is to get a car from a cheaper manufacturer like KIA. The Kia’s I have rented are loaded with every consciences and luxury option they have. The ‘better’ cars are much more basic versions. National has been very disappointing lately. Why pay more for less?
