Not my favorite place to buy a camper for sure! We’ve bought here before and forgot why we hate camping world but it was all reconfirmed again yesterday. Sales is uncoordinated, finance was a 2 hour wait after we had an “appointment” with them, and the overall experience is never that awesome. They had the camper we wanted, otherwise we would have gone somewhere else for sure.

salesman was great, the store impressive however the unit we were interested in was filthy on the outside, needed a boost to get started and neither the AC nor the windows worked. Given the fact that I made an appointment I found the experience quite disappointing considering the price of the unit was close to $100,000.

The sales folks were all really nice and the location was clean and well run. But I’ve unfortunately had some difficulty with the finance dept. They seem to only have a single woman working the finance dept, and while I can appreciate the work of a one woman show & how that may be overwhelming, I’m frustrated that it’s been several weeks since I paid off the lien on my unit & requested my prorated refunds on the GAP coverage & extended service plan warranty. Apparently only the finance manager at the location where the unit was purchased can assist with this process… but I provided the finance dept all of the loan closure paperwork nearly two weeks ago after some back and forth trying to obtain all of the necessary documents & have yet to receive confirmation that these requests were submitted. Hopefully they have been 🤷🏻‍♀️

Camping world never has what a rv owner needs in stock. The stores are always filled with basic items you can buy much cheaper at Walmart. They do not carry enough repair or service parts, you have to order them and wait till they arrive and pay a shipping fee. The last item we ordered came in and it was not the color we ordered. It was a 5 day hassle to get the shipping fee returned to us and we were never was able to receive the Color we asked for. When we were there in the store trying to reason with them over the issue, a woman walked up to us and told us how she brought her camper in for service and they shipped it out to another state to be sold. I feel for her and have no idea how that was resolved nor do I understand how that could even happen. I am not a fan of Camping World and will always go elsewhere for any purchases or services

Camping World (CW) absolutely exceeded my expectations in the end. It did not start out this way. In fact, I was very unhappy with the service and decided to take my camper elsewhere. However, the floor merchandise sales manager called another manager and set the ball in motion to win me over (I forgot his name). I got in touch with Mike. I believe Mike is the Regional Manager. There is also a new service manager named Erich who was helpful. Shay my service advisor was AWESOME! There were a few bad apples I engaged with at CW. However, the good ones made up for it. What really stood out, though, was Mike, the Regional Manager. It’s rare to see leadership step in the way he did—he took ownership, stayed engaged throughout the entire process, and made sure everything was handled the right way. His commitment to customer satisfaction is exactly what you hope for but don’t always get. Problems happen, but it’s how a company responds that truly matters. Camping World—and especially Mike—proved that they stand behind their customers and their service. I left the experience not just satisfied, but genuinely impressed.
