I will be honest, APA was not my first choice. The true story is that I had requested a service installation provider literally one mile from my house that could not provide the service as he technician recognized for the state was not going to be in. Intoxalock sent me to another installation site literally difficult for me to get there 3 miles away that was 75 dollars more for installing fees. I chose APA because not only was it closer but it was less expensive. Was it perfect, no it wasn't but nothing is and you just have to be compliant and that's all the state wants you to do. The problem is with the soul system is that it's a three-pronged attack to make you compliant to ADOT and the state. The significant difference in all that occurred for me and my situation was Jeremy. He gets it he understands and he was able to take all the mishaps that occurred in my situation which I won't go into, and smooth them over so at the end of the result and for reasons that are my fault their fault and Intoxalot's fault it all got smoothed over in the end. Here's what I will tell you, the actual owner lives out of state in Texas. His in-law runs the shop, so just ask whoever you call are you Jeremy at the shop and it will help because I didn't realize I was talking to an out-of-state owner and it was very confusing. Secondly, if you use it credit card to pay for service they use a rudimentary Square app to process payment. No one offered me a receipt and when I found out that I was going to get a credit from intoxalock, I had no idea a receipt would be required for that credit. So I had to go back to APA and get a receipt emailed to me which I had to then transfer to a word document to submit it to intoxalot for that credit. This is not going to be a seamless process. I'm just warning everyone that is going to go through this for the first time. Just understand you need to ask a lot of questions and clarify everything and ensure that you are getting everything you need in paper not digital. Even though they submit the paperwork to ADOT, you need to go into aid out yourself and take a physical copy of your insulation records to them to get your restricted license renewed. All people that have ignition interlock devices in their car in Arizona have to get an DL that shows you need as you're dealing with the three-party system for compliance so our parties have to work together. But you are ultimately responsible for this. The plus side for me was Jeremy even though it was sort of chaotic for a merely of reasons that I won't go through it was his steady hand that got me back on the road and even though it was a rough start that I did not anticipate I am satisfied with their service. They will be my partner for the rest of this year as I need to go back to them four times for calibration services. Make sure you inform yourself on everything that you are going to need to get going with this and if it is intoxalock, I implore you to ask a lot more questions of them than I did because I was pretty much duped in this process and I'm smarter than the average bear and it's confounded me and frustrated me at least in the first 5 or 6 days of getting used to this system. Just know no one cares it's a requirement of the state and I just thought it'd be a bit easier than this and it wasn't. However that is not the fault of Pure Auto, Myself and Intoxalock..just a curfuffle of circumstances.

Frequently Asked Questions About Intoxalock Ignition Interlock
How does an interlock device work?
An ignition interlock device (IID) is a small breathalyzer installed in your vehicle to prevent it from starting if alcohol is detected on your breath. Before driving, you'll blow into the device. If your breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) is below the programmed limit, the car starts. Periodic retests occur during your trip to ensure continued compliance. To read more on Intoxalock, you can read our ignition interlock device guide.
What is the cost of an ignition interlock device?
The installation of an ignition interlock device, often called a car breathalyzer, typically costs between $70 and $150. This one-time fee is paid at the start of your lease and covers the service center's labor to install the device in your vehicle. Payment is made directly to the service center at the time of installation. For more on cost breakdowns, you can read our cost of ignition interlock device guide.
How do I use my interlock device?
Using an IID is simple. To start your vehicle, blow into the device as directed. If the device detects no alcohol, your car will start. You may be prompted for "rolling retests" while driving, where you’ll blow into the device again to confirm compliance. How-to videos are also available on the Intoxalock mobile app.

What happens if I fail a breath test on my ignition interlock device?
If you fail a breath test, your vehicle will not start, and the device will log the event. Depending on your state’s regulations, multiple failed tests may trigger additional penalties, such as lockouts or reporting to your monitoring authority. Intoxalock devices allow you to retest after a short wait if alcohol is no longer detected. Always follow your state’s guidelines to remain compliant.
Can I install an ignition interlock device in a vehicle I don’t own?
