- MAMatt AndersonNov 15, 20255.0I couldn't be more pleased with my experience. Last night my brakes started grinding. I made an appointment online for the next morning Saturday at 8am. The staff was ready to rock and roll right at 8am and got me right in. I explained I needed to be some where by 10:45am. They diagnosed my problem, sat down, and told me the issues & costs. All 4 brakes & some rotors needed to be replaced. I was back on the road by 10:20am. All the staff kept me updated on the progress. The manager (I wish I had asked his name) was great. The price was reasonable. I highly recommend Brakes Plus on McClintock & Rio Salado Pwky.

As a woman, getting any kind of car work done can feel intimidating, but they made me feel completely comfortable and never talked down to me. They checked my vehicle thoroughly and took the time to explain everything, what repairs were needed, why they mattered, and even broke down what was urgent versus what could wait. I really appreciated their honesty and patience. It’s rare to find a shop where you feel respected and well taken care of, but these two definitely delivered. Waiting area was spacious, clean, and well-lit. Off-road adventure TV was playing. What's not to like??? Staff didn't waste my time; the assessment was completed in the estimated time. They showed me my brakes, explained the problem, gave me some brake education (but not too much). They prepared a detailed quote. And not once did they pressure me to do a brake job that, today, is elective. I'm hooked. I look forward to Brakes Plus (in Tempe at McClintock & E Rio Salado Pkwy) handling my brakes and other mechanical work in the future. Great shop!
- WWWilliamOct 25, 20255.0Im the owner of a local autoshop and outsourced my alignment on my mercedes to be done here. I normally take them to Firestone and after several trips of being given the vehicle back with the steering wheel left so off center I couldnt return it to my customer, I decided to try the brakes plus in the neighborhood with me. The first alignment was also a little iffy, but I went there in person and spoke with the counter person, and Victor (the technician) approached and listened in as well. I want to extend my deepest appreciation and gratitude for them being willing to listen to my suggestions on how to fix it and willing to give it a try, and for Victor being willing to re rack and incrementally adjust the steering wheel to get it where it needed to be. Most shops are unwilling to invest more time than a quick toe set, and Victor stuck with it and invested the time it took to do it right. Thats an attitude that is often hard to find, and needs to be specifically called out and commended. Most alignments go fine. Once in a while you get one that goes difficult. This brakes plus team and victor in particular was willing to do that extra effort and I cant stress enough the gratitude I feel. 5 out of 5, If I could steal victor from brakes plus I would.
