Intoxalock has been a nightmare. From petty fines to overcharging and false advertising. Any little thing you get locked out dn have to pay. Even when you dont pay them.you are paying the service center. This company should be investigated. I do not recommend them

Well first of all I dont like the idea of having a camera in my truck. Second. I realy dont like having them potting holes in my truck for an ear cord that's way to short and can't use. And its probably added to the bill. For something I can't even use anyways. Third I had to take time off work.
because they couldn't fine someone to do it after work. The fourth thing is that they dont send the Information to dmv right away. They send it the next day. So there's an other day off work or you have to leave early to be able to get In to dmv.
So after speaking with a representative. I was able to get a credit to my account. Now I would say that their really trying to help out as much as they can. We just have to take in mind. That its not only one person that you have to be In contact with. This is a team company and there are steps that we.need to take to make this experience as smoothly as possible.like asking questions before they do any work to our cars, trucks or any transportation that you might use. But after talking with the company we have come to understand each other and came to understand that we both were happy with. So after that experience with the costumer representative I feel much better using their equipment now.
Frequently Asked Questions About Intoxalock Ignition Interlock
How does an interlock device work?
An ignition interlock device (IID) is a small breathalyzer installed in your vehicle to prevent it from starting if alcohol is detected on your breath. Before driving, you'll blow into the device. If your breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) is below the programmed limit, the car starts. Periodic retests occur during your trip to ensure continued compliance. To read more on Intoxalock, you can read our ignition interlock device guide.
What is the cost of an ignition interlock device?
The installation of an ignition interlock device, often called a car breathalyzer, typically costs between $70 and $150. This one-time fee is paid at the start of your lease and covers the service center's labor to install the device in your vehicle. Payment is made directly to the service center at the time of installation. For more on cost breakdowns, you can read our cost of ignition interlock device guide.
How do I use my interlock device?
Using an IID is simple. To start your vehicle, blow into the device as directed. If the device detects no alcohol, your car will start. You may be prompted for "rolling retests" while driving, where you’ll blow into the device again to confirm compliance. How-to videos are also available on the Intoxalock mobile app.

What happens if I fail a breath test on my ignition interlock device?
If you fail a breath test, your vehicle will not start, and the device will log the event. Depending on your state’s regulations, multiple failed tests may trigger additional penalties, such as lockouts or reporting to your monitoring authority. Intoxalock devices allow you to retest after a short wait if alcohol is no longer detected. Always follow your state’s guidelines to remain compliant.
