When I went to return the next one, as it had a 3 year warranty. I was told when I returned the last battery they refunded me cash. This means an employee of AutoZone put this information in their system even though I exchanged the battery, which I still have. Where do you think the money went. Not in my pocket. This is called embezzling funds. The store manager would not correct the issue. I was told to call the corporate office. Extremely difficult to get a hold of, and when I did speak to someone they gave me a number to call which no one responds to. No one at this company is accountable for their actions. I went to file a complaint with the better business bureau and they don't even qualify as a company of integrity because they don't respond to complaints. Boycott AutoZone. If you do shop there don't be surprised if you get oversold and then inevitably ripped off. If you have to return the item and find out an employee has already put in their system it was returned for cash. When you make a purchase on a card any returns are generally returned to the card. No funds were ever returned to my card. Obvious embezzlement. Be careful!
