Dear AutoZone Management Team, I am writing to raise a concern about a recent interaction at your store located at 2040 W Northern Ave, Phoenix, AZ. (Store number was not listed on your website for this address.) On October 24th at 11am, I visited the store to purchase a battery and asked for assistance from cashier Destiny. I had two simple requests: * To ask questions about the battery I was buying. * To verify the total price I was going to pay. Unfortunately, Destiny refused to allow me to ask these questions and did not conduct herself in a professional manner. Specifically: * I approached the checkout with the battery selected and asked whether I could review product details and confirm the price including any extra fees. * Destiny responded by cutting me off and insisted on proceeding with the sale without engaging in any explanation or giving me the opportunity to ask my questions. * Because of this I felt rushed, uncomfortable and not respected as a customer. As someone who provides client-facing support in the tech industry and values good customer service, I expect clarity, patience and respect in retail interactions as well. Your brand’s reputation hinges on these standards. I respectfully request that the following steps be taken: 1. Please review the interaction (via your store records or staff de-brief) and determine how this situation will be addressed. 2. Provide me with an update on the actions you will take regarding employee training or reinforcement of customer service standards — especially relating to allowing customers to ask questions and verifying pricing before sale. 3. Please contact me to inform me of the resolution or any updates made to your staff’s communication and interactions with customers. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. I appreciate your help in ensuring that future visits to this store reflect the professional, helpful experience I expect from the AutoZone brand. Sincerely, Jason Ybarra October 24th 2025

Absolutely disgusting racist, sexist behavior comments by one employee to an elderly customer while another stood by and watched. The third employee looked visible uncomfortable with the behavior of his coworker. The same employee was rude to me yesterday and again today, when I tried to step in on behalf of the elderly gentleman because the employee was mocking the gentleman's accent repeatedly and loudly. I started official complaint procedure and called store to get manager and district manager name and phone number. Was told by same rude worker the names of manager and DM but no phone number both were out of town and could not be contacted. When I advised the rude worker that I was calling to report his behavior to the manager he began to argue and raise his voice at me again, that's three times in two days, clearly he feels he can behave in that manner with no repercussions. I sincerely hope management contacts me and the elderly gentleman, so the are aware of the treatment of the public.
