I stopped in today to help my daughter look at seat covers for a car she inherited from her recently departed grandma. Upon leaving the store an older male employee at the counter asked if we had "the virus" since we were both wearing masks. What gives someone the right to even say such a thing? I attempted to educate him, informing there are other reasons people have to wear masks.(Auto immune diseases, such as MCAS, cancer, bad asthma days, and so on. As if having to deal with a disease isn't rough enough) He continues to further insult. Normally I would just walk away but today was already a rough day. I will do us both a favor and NEVER step foot in this Ahwatukee /Chandler AutoZone again. I will make my friends and mechanic aware of the uncomfortable and insulting treatment received at this location, as there are some things not worth fixing. Chosen ignorance is one of those things. Shame on you.
PS Interesting note: I received company response via Google review, as you can see below, requesting I contact them as that is not the impression they want to leave. What I found sad is the word "sorry" or "apology" do not exist. There was no apology of any kind.
If posting on Google did not elicit an apology , I'll pass on further contact via email. The issues must run deeper at your location.

I had an excellent experience today with Taylor, the parts manager at AutoZone. My car uses a very specialized, hard-to-find battery size, and Taylor went above and beyond to help me sort it out. Even while assisting four or five other customers at the same time, he stayed incredibly patient, professional, and focused on making sure I was taken care of.
He took the time to track down the correct battery, explained the options clearly, and never once made the situation feel rushed. After I mentioned concerns about my alternator, he even went out of his way to test my charging system on the spot just to give me peace of mind.
It’s rare to find someone this knowledgeable, calm, and genuinely committed to helping people. Autozone is you are reading this, promote this man!
