LADIES BEWARE!! My car was overheating, not that much I should add. So I took it in, thinking it needed a new thermostat. Then they come back with the estimate over an hour later saying it’s a blown gasket. And it’s $4500+ lol There were no signs of it being a blown gasket. Another lady was in the waiting room with me, and she told me that she had been having issues with this place and that day was her 3rd time in there that week. They also knew that I had a charity that was willing to pay the cost for me. These guys are a bunch of SCAMMERS! Also, they have one restroom that is soooo gross, only men can use it for obvious reasons.

I scheduled an appointment at 10am to have my breaks changed. They called me at 11:41 to let me know I would need the front and back replaced, but the rotors were fine and they would do a break fluid flush for $680. He said it would only take an hour. At 2pm I was still waiting and my car is was not done so I asked how much longer he said it would take another 30min! Are you joking! Be prepared to stay all day here even with an appointment! I spent more than 4 hours for a BREAK CHANGE!!

I started my journey at Brake Masters 111 N. Dobson road for an oil change and during my visit, I was informed the oil pan had been damaged from my prior oil change and they weren't able to remove the bolt. I was quoted $46.96 plus tax for the oil change and $468.87 plus tax to replace the oil pan. I didn't believe they couldn't remove the bolt, so I took the car here to Brakes plus for a second opinion and soon after I realized I made a grave mistake. I brought the car here to get closer to my next destination and doing this, I was giving this shop a second chance. I was quoted $847, I informed Jose the other shop just quoted me $515 plus tax for the entire job, I was informed the best he could do was $750 and because I had put an engine flush in my oil, I couldn't drive it to another shop without a tow truck. I had a doctor appointment coming up that couldn't be missed otherwise, the tow truck would have come. I believe I told Jose I had the doctor appointment and knew he had me over a barrel with time and the situation. When it was time to pay, the bill wasn't anywhere near a matched price to their competitors even after I specifically informed him, and had a conversation in front of him displaying my dissatisfaction, the actual sub total was $779.83, not the amount I was quoted, not a competitive price nor someone who cared enough about a customer to prevent me from writing exactly how my day went while I was at your shop. Now that the shop has lied to me on multiple occasions, took advantage of my vulnerability, overcharged on multiple occasions. I definitely will never return to another Brakes plus, it's disappointing because your shop on Gilbert road had secured what I thought was a lifetime customer. I hope all who see this take a look at my receipts and make a better decision than I did ( I can try to add reciepts later after editing my personal information )I wish I had chosen my the shop where my journey began and next time I will. My last repair here was due to a small transmission fluid leak. I came to this shop without a lot of knowledge about transmission repairs and my mechanic didn't have access to a lift and is too old to climb under cars for such a job. I had success at Brakes plus in Gilbert and this shop even fixed my truck in the past. After a short time of dropping the truck off I was informed I needed a transmission filter and in conversation with my mechanic, he thought it was weird that a filter was needed as he thought I just needed a new gasket and sealed back up. As stated , I don't know much about transmissiona so I agreed to the repair. I was called with a total and ready for pickup but when I arrived, the truck wasn't even repaired. I was informed by another mechanic who may not have been aware that I was told the filter was needed to complete the repairs in the first place that that could simply put a new seal and close it up and the repair would be completed, hence why I said I was lied to again above. Why I chose them again is beyond me but hopefully you make a better decision. Receipts are imaged so take a look for yourself. Do better Brakes plus! Edit: I did get a refund for the part I was billed twice for, I was treated fairly with professional attitude and I was contacted for resolution. No other refund was offered.

The Ahwatukee location has never thrilled me with their customer service but this was the tip of the iceberg for me. I took my car to them for an oil change and everything was seemingly fine. The following day I was due to leave on a roadtrip. Approximately 20 miles from home, my skid plate partially fell off and my car had to be towed back to my house. The following day I took my car back to this location and they did not offer any apologies or refund for their error as they had forgotten to place the clips that hold the piece in place. They offered to replace it and stated they had one already at the shop. I waited for 2 and a half hours for them to finally tell me that the skid plate they had did not fit my car and they would have to order one. An absolute waste of my time and an incredibly frustrating situation.
