  If I could leave 0 stars, I absolutely would. My husband and I have traveled thousands of miles for our truck to break down with a transmission issue in Kingsman, AZ. Corporate was wonderful and said that we could use a truck from the local Penske location for the rest of our move cross country. Marcus was absolutely awful to work with. There were 5 trucks in total that were sitting outside their location (1 of which was operable apparently), and we were told we could take the operating truck. Shortly after a call with his manager claiming it wasn’t their problem and that we couldn’t take their 1 truck, we spent another two hours in the heat trying to get them to release the truck. Finally after both the corporate office AND the district office demanded they release the truck to us, did they rudely give it over. Never in my life have I experienced someone so unwilling to help anyone - let alone a military veteran and his pregnant wife. Disgusted.

  Check the daily rental rate and make sure the quote they give is the base value plus the extra. If they say they need an additional deposit and it is held not charged unless you dont return the truck make sure they dont charge upfront and then use it for other things. Upon pick up check the gas tank and look to see if the gas is full to top of pipe and the gage. They lie and say you didnt fill it up when you put more than it had when you picked it up. Take a picture of the pipe and gage. Once they charge you the ¨deposit¨ which is double the cost of the entire rental it is theirs to keep. they tell you its one way trip but require you to drop off where you picked up. NOT one way. one way is unlimited mileage as advertised but they charge you mileage because its not one way thats just what they tell you, and what it says on receipt once you return. so you think its unlimited and then say you went over mileage. They, quoted 69.99 for base rental of truck and charged 300 per day base charge Total cost over $1000 for a one day rental plus car dolly, the gas they claim was short was 4 gallons for $40. The gas filled the tank and pipe and the pipe doesnt hold 4 gallons and the gage said full. They lie. Round trip? how far can you drive unload and return to the same location in a 24 hour period? Thats easy to estimate, theres no over mileage about it. bottom line your $300 rental ends up costing $1000 and thats with no frills, no extra insurance, nada. If they were upfront about the cost fine, but they lie and decieve to make that $1000 mark/ per day per truck. The best part was the $300 ¨deposit¨ story about the guy who still has one of their trucks and still driving around town refusing to return it. The 300 makes sure we get the truck back . (right...That´s the story. And yes they get the truck back at your expense because there is no holding a deposit In reality you pay extra to return the truck to them, plus the extra fuel to do so. Save yourself the hassle and money do a one way unlimited mileage and return the truck to the closest drop off to your destination. Find the closest drop off to your destination prior, because again they tell you there isn´t one even though there is. Dont Screen shot or save just print out the quote showing the address of the pick up place and drop off because they play with the web app as prices subject to change....yeah how convenient and the app wont save the web page as you see it its embedded with a link which enables them to change it in real time.
